The complete OS overhaul that makes navigation so much better? Nah

The addition of cycling workouts? Also nah

The side button being changed to be more useful? You guessed it, nah

The real highlight of watchOS 10 ain't the complete rework that makes watchOS a lot more usable, the real highlight is HIM:

I'm genuinely serious, the Snoopy watchface is the best addition to watchOS 10. At first I wrote it off as just a cute addition. When I used the watchface though, I realized the watchface is more than just cute. The amount of work that was put into this face having Snoopy and friends fully animated with the watch hands is incredible. There's a vast amount of different animations they will do and it makes the watch face really come alive. Everytime you lift up your wrist to see the time, Snoopy does something that really brightens your day. The watchface is a really good mood improver just from watching the things they do on your watch.

Honestly this watchface is proof Apple needs to allow people to make and sell watchfaces on the App Store. People want more watchfaces like this, things you can do on an Apple Watch you can't do on a "real watch."

I wonder what impact on battery life these animations may have.
Apparently a lot. I had it on yesterday from about 7:30 am and by 7 pm i was getting a 10% warning. I've had my 44mm Titanium Series 6 since it was released and I've never gotten this warning before when just using the watch normally (not trying to do battery intensive things). The only change was installing WatchOS 10 and using the Snoopy face.

Edit: I have a new 45 mm SS watch coming on Friday though. So I will try the Snoopy face again and see if it works with less battery impact than my Series 6.

Apple should allow the watch face to be in black to lower the impact on the battery life, because I guarantee that white background is the leading cause.

Looks like it might not be the Snoopy face. I'm getting a drop of over 10% and hour right now with a bare bones California face.

Well that's a relief...kinda.

That's still concerning how much more battery watchOS 10 is eating. This needs to get fixed

So last night I ordered pizza and when it arrived I started eating it around 6:45. I looked at my watch, and saw that Snoopy was eating too, sitting on my minute hand like construction workers on beams with their lunch boxes

I’m not even a Peanuts fan, but just something about Snoopy doing stuff on my watch is a big mood brightener. Forget the Calm or Mindfulness apps, all you need is the Snoopy watch face

I absolutely love it also!
Even the standby faces are varied, sometime Snoopy on his back, on his front, with Woodstock also sleeping on him,... :)

The Watch knew you were eating so quickly gave you the appropriate animation. Uh oh, just the beginning of total domination o_O

I've had this watch face via the developer beta and it's fab.
It also appears to have a link into the weather app as when it's raining outside Snoopy has rain, high winds and Snoopy battles the breeze too! So cool.

Please excuse my screen protector as it is scratched from my yard work at least it protected the watch.

I can guarantee you, as sure as the Sun rises in the East, that your screen protector did as much to protect your watch as the paint on a warship does to protect it in battle.

Multiple times I’ve been elbow-deep in the dirt in the garden pulling out Bermuda grass roots. The display is still pristine. There’s a little bit of patina shine to the sharpest part of the edge of the bezel, and one tiny hairline scratch on the top flat part of the bezel that you can only see if you catch the light just right.

There are videos out there of people dragging Ultras behind cars at speed on asphalt, sparks flying. You have to look hard to see signs of damage to the titanium, and the display is still perfect.

In other words … if you ever do actually manage to damage your watch, that’ll be the least of your worries as you begin your new life as an amputee.

I love the Peanuts watch face but on my Apple Watch series 4 the battery dies mid-afternoon. Before watchOS 10 I easily arrived in the evening with a generous 15% in surplus. I hope they fix it, now my Apple Watch is unusable

I would assumed that the screen protector has a limited amounted of protection. But the thing is being a base model series 8 alum watch I was more interested in at least trying to protect the glass from scratches.

Ah — sorry, my mistrake. For some reason, your photo looked to me more like one of an Ultra inside a case than a S8.

For what it’s worth … here’s the difference between the two when it comes to durability:

Cheers,
