I have no interest in using Apple pay nor do the greater majority of iPhone users. A recent article mentioned a mere 6% of those eligible to use it, are using it, meaning they have the newer phones designed for Apple Pay.
At some point as it becomes a more accepted choice I imagine that gradually more will use it. I know when I asked around at work many hadn't heard about it and when I explained it to them, most just aren't impressed. It's so easy to swipe a credit/debit card that women especially have no desire to change or take chances with a payment. That's precisely what they told me. I thought it is an interesting view on this technology.
I believe once enough people are using it so the ladies see it's neither risky or difficult to learn, eventually they'll try it.
The iPad has Apple Pay? I don't think so.
Yes the iPad has Apple pay. It would have to be the latest model though, which is the iPad Mini 3 and the iPad Air 2. I have the iPad Mini 3 and it has Apple Pay. But I don't use Apple pay on my iPad nor on my 6 Plus.
In the rare chance I might try Apple Pay one day, I'd like to change the sound to that of crisp and brief flatulence.
Why haven't you tried Apple Pay?
It's now more of a chime sound. I wonder why they changed it so soon.
Probably for easier confirmation. It's louder and clearer.
If anyone could extract and upload the new sound i'd appreciate it?
I love the older apple pay sound and use it as my text tone #

Apple needs people to adapt this quickly. When Samsung roles out theirs it will work pretty much everywhere.
What is risky about it? I don't understand the fear. It's safer in every way than using a physical card, and faster too. I don't think you understand what you are trying to explain to others.
What makes you say that?
There's nothing to fear, it's about educating oneself about the risks.
I haven't explained anything as you claim, I'm simply commenting. It's no faster than swiping a card unless milliseconds make your day...
Want to know more about the risks? Simply read the financial sites all across the blogosphere, they have very helpful info.
You don't really believe Apple's going to admit the risks...they make far too much money off you.
sorry, it's the future talking, they never changed it back, I actually like the sound it is now, and being from the EU, so not having apple pay until way later, until now, I never knew the earlier iOS used a different sound for apple pay then the one I'm used to, the chime-like sound. I actually like that one a lot, and find it very apt for Apple Pay, but then Apple gone and put the sound to all types of payment confirmations and app store downloads on all apple devices, there should be more clearer separation in uses and thus different sounds for different scenarios, but there aren't unfortunately.....Maybe it will change back. They're still advertising Apple Pay on TV with the old sound.
