The STAY AWAKE iPhone 5 Thread

Was I being silly thinking that I could order at midnight and be back in bed by 1230 at the latest? Is it really that bad? -__-
 
I have a white 4S it's nice, but the black Iphone 5 does look very enticing.

The original iPhone was priced at $499 for 4GB and $599 for 8GB, and went on sale in June 2007. A few months later (around October, I think) the 4GB model was dropped, and the 8GB model changed to $399.

There was a big uproar, so Apple gave purchasers at the original price $100 Apple Store gift cards (or something like that).

To my recollection, they dropped the price a few weeks after they introduced the first iPhone. I kinda remember getting a credit back on my American Express for buying an iPhone very very early on.
 
I've never preordered on launch day before (I've waited in line for everything since the 4S which I ordered a month after launch) but I've heard tons of stories of people getting their new phones in the mail one or two days early. I'm hoping for that! Has anyone gotten lucky before?

i think i got $100 in store credit which i then used for a fancy iphone bluetooth headset
