Because then Apple would have to venture outside the US, and we know how much they don't like doing that these days...

yep your right - why would they do such a thing :D gonna have to send a letter to Apple about this

"Hey Apple - you know Top Gear most pirated TV show on the planet, no the Galaxy ! fancy putting it on iTunes all over the world for say a few quid?( $1.99 for our already got TV/Movie USA Cousins) You never know , it might also be the Top bought TV Download like ever.

PS - If you don't hurry up and do it , we will send the Stig round to embarrass you all at driving

The millions of people who want to download TopGear LEGAL"

Not gonna listen though, are they?

It's a shame, but I guess with a mere 60,609,153 (As of July 2006) people living in the UK, its hardly worth it. That'd be why there is 7 retail stores. Or a retail store for every 8.6 Million people in the South of Britain Have Apple never heard of Scotland? Ireland?

That, of course, compared to 152 retail stores in the US, which has a population of 298,444,215 (As of July 2006) meaning a retail store for every 1.9 million people and these are spread around the country quite nicely. Hmmmm. Good figures.

Anyway, before I get carried away, I'm sure you can see my point.

I'd just like to point out to my fellow Americans (and others not blessed with the BBC) that the torrent is available...they got it up really quick as a matter of fact, but it's a 700MB rip. DL'ing...

Also, the Final Gear website has links to torrents of seasons 1 and 2 of the new format.

If Apple offered Top Gear on iTMS I would buy a subscription NOW. Like it already happened.

Whats wrong with recording it to a PVR? That works for me :D

Show was brilliant last night i must admit...i always find the bits like the roadworks thing hilarius they always make something so serious into something so funny...the best bits are the little bits like when may threw clarksons megaphone under the roller :p

Clarkson is the best presenter on TV by far!

My favorite segments of Top Gear are when Clarkson, May and Hammond each get X amount of money and are told to buy a certain kind of car, after which the three participate in a series of tasks to see who chose the best car. Those are fantastic and I hope they do more. I especially liked the supercar version, where Jeremy's Maserati blew up and crashed into a hedge. :D

Agree 100%. Then with the chips 'Thats 1-1 now' Quality.

As for Clarkson being the best, well, I think my Ava says its all, but deffo like Marmite. Love him or hate him. :D

Love those as well. My fav is the races they do across Europe. I don't know if they are staged, or just very, very well planned. But either way it is so damn good.

Only one complaint about last night's show; "pig-faced waste of blood and organs" just didn't go far enough ;)

Great to have the MBP using hamster back.

I agree so much... Im not shifting through 31 pages but i finished the stupidly hard quiz on the topgear site.... by cheating obviously. I still cant decide XKR or V8 Vantage or V8 Vantage or M6.... Which is better??????????????? I must add the series with the veyron, 10,000 supercars and all that was the best series of any program ever.... But this series may be able to beat it. Also I love UKTV people and G2.

Sunday is almost here !!!

here is what i'm looking foward too:)

"Train Crash TV
It might surprise you, but no one's ever asked Top Gear to make a public information film. Until now. Jeremy dons a high-visibility jacket and a pair of hard hats to extol the dangers of pensioners, level crossings and, erm, high-visibility jackets. OK, so he got a bit confused. Basically it's all an excuse to pile an express train into a Renault Espace at high speed, with seriously spectacular results.

The new episode of Top Gear hits your screen at 8pm on Sunday February 4. Don't miss it."

and the only reason you would ever need Real player on your Mac http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/..._season9?size=16x9&bgc=AFD8D0&nbram=1&bbram=1

I believe that Apple have managed to get planning permission for a store in Glasgow so it's coming. And I don't think that those who live in Manchester or Sheffield consider themselves to be living in the South!

Good show last week...loved road building.

But I have to disagree with Clarkson on the XKR - I would take the AMV8 in a second - I am totally seduced by the sounds that coupe makes. It's biblical.

Can't wait till Sunday.

Agreed - I would have the Aston any day. I have to say.. sadly because of the looks. It just melts me.

It turns out that the last edition of Top Gear was insulting to people with brain damage. Blimey. I had a bit of a giggle at the comments they were making toward the Hamster, so this obviously means that I'm a very bad person indeed.
No, it means you have a sense of humor. A part of the brain that must have been damaged by those over-sensitive knuckleheads who took offense to it and raised a stink. People will whine about anything these days.

Yes, apparently it's now offensive to say Speed Kills!
So I'm highly offended by your sig;)

Oh, and MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm BRERA MMMmmmmmmmmmmm

He was quite good value.

The Brera: pretty but unfortunately useless. If your going to buy an impractical car (and all of those are) you might as well have one that's fun to drive. And that means rear wheel drive. And power.

Again unfortunately I've driven an RX8 around some roads I know quite fast and it was very disappointing. The engine killed it for me. And the terrible, cheap, tacky interior.
