In my opinion, space black only works with metal bands. I'd suggest the stainless steel, with leather being the best look

There are a few leather bands that pair well the black stainless. But you are right, the metal bands do look the best with the black stainless.

For series 0, I went with stainless steel, because of its compatibility with virtually all bands, and for Series 2, I initially went with a steel + white band watch but then a neighboring apple store had the space black with black sport band, so I ended up exchanging for that. I guess in the end, I liked the sleek looks of the space black, and eventually also bought the link bracelet and the milanese loop for when I want a dressier look. I wish Apple would re-release the black leather loop with a black metal piece (the part where the loop end goes through), and an all-black classic black buckle with black lugs. I've come to really like the all black look, goes well with my jet black iPhone too.
