Unfortunately, all the dark mode wallpapers are gone and I feel like the wallpaper is brighter than before when dark mode is turned on.

You might be able to create a darker wallpaper via customization with colors

Remember the old days when the UI was simple and straight forward. There was no need for lengthy guides and tutorials.

Yes but in the old says iOS didn’t have all these features.
It was basic,simple,not customisable and very limited.

Anyone tried the new Fitness app?

I am puzzled for the following:

- unlike almost all other apps, it is not possible to config the Fitness app in Setting app.

- Fitness could access my workout data from Garmin Connect App, but I didn’t see any setting to opt in or out, or get my approval for accessing my Garmin s data.

The Health app is the hub of all the health data, which require the users to grant access rights to connect to other app.

I suppose the Fitness app got the Garmin data from the Health app. but I did not see any evident options of connecting Fitness app to other apps.

The battery widget can only show one device at a time? Maybe because I have an iPhone 13 mini. If you add two smaller widgets it just shows the headphones twice 🤦‍♂️

This is turning out to be a really mediocre update. Comparing this to Android 13 is truly an illuminating process. Android is so much more intuitive which is insane considering that was Android’s major flaw this whole time.

Perhaps. Waiting on the pixel 7 pro and pixel fold to be released. Then will make my decision. Either way, I’m not upgrading to an iPhone 14 pro. Either an iPhone 15 (assuming usb-c, 8gb+ ram, all screen display) or android.

I'm actually really enjoying this update so far. It's fun to tinker with, but in the brief time I've been using it, it's way faster than iOS 15 on my XR. Are other people finding their phones snappier?

Face ID unlocks are much quicker for me now - maybe the new function in landscape mode makes portrait faster? I may be imagining it...

it would actually be great for user experience if every major iOS update came with a (an optional) guided walkthrough of new customizations you could walk in and out of at your own pace. Would be appreciated by people like my parents, at least

It's my second day, and it's still working well for me. Hope it keeps up the pace. I was about to dive into an iPhone 14 pro headfirst. I totally psyched my self to get it and probably still will, but hopefully, this keeps working well enough that I can give it a min before upgrading

And the lock screen customization is great but shallow - can't change camera or flashlight, limited widget options, another row somewhere (maybe two smaller ones as an option, or a partial row - one or two more circles under the ones on the right would only sacrifice a little visual balance.. ) would be great. The small circles are interesting if they're introducing a shift in the UI. Hopefully live activities will add a little life.

Really tempted by the ATT trade-in if I pay the rest of my iPhone 13 - $1,000 of monthly credits for the 14 Pro... know I should wait one more year for the 15 but don't know if they'll bring back the promo. (They're offering the same deal for the iPhone 12 which is promising)

You could also have a second/third row of lock screen widgets appear on a swipe/pull-down action, the way you can unfold notifications up from the bottom now.. but I know that's all against the grain of the page, it's meant to be simple, spare.

I'd like to be able to 'unpack' the top widget line too, i've got the calendar with date and today's events, a swipe down to show a longer event view would be great..

But there's a lot I wish Apple would do for the home screen widgets, too.. smart-stack individual apps, great alternative to those dated folder groups

Baffling: If you have an existing wallpaper set pre-16, you can't just customize it and start adding widgets to it. You have to create a new wallpaper. "Customize" doesn't customize.

May be wrong, but that didn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere.
