Awsome Widget

My suggestions:

- Try and match the color skeme of MacRumors
-The logo is a bit tinted pink in the middle, could you make it whiter?
-This might be to hard, but can you make it so you can view the front page article right in the widget? Not a big deal but would let you check through all of them faster and would have a strong "wow" factor.
 
Figured out the pink thing. I have the opacity set at 70%.
You will see all these fixes in v1.0 (as opposed to the current v1.0b)
 
I have a cleaner cutout/png of the logo if you want it. Used it to build what what we'll now call the 'interim' Macrumors widget a while back. (I like your scrollbar better.) Let me know if you want it.

Okay, I fixed the pink logo. I haven't updated the download site yet, as I am still trying to make it smaller. For now here is a screenshot to salivate over...

And yes, I would love a cleaner cutout.

Yep- There you go. It's smallish- so it will work for the top-right corner one fine I assume. Mine had a slight shadowing you might want to use to help lift it off the red. I didn't put that in the file though because I didn't know if you're using Fireworks or Photoshop.

Maybe you could make a way where when we click a link or something on the widget it will take us to the widgets homepage so we can always check for updates that way instead of coming all the way to Mac Rumors and find this thread...just a thought.

Yes, that'd be a good thing for the back (along with the version number - it frustrates me if I can't find that).

It's true, I have 3 of the 6 widgets you have on your website. One of which (MacGyverisms) I've had since before I started coming to MacRumors, so how's that for crazy luck. My maddest of props go out to you...

Well, thank you *blushes*

I am working on a updated, smaller, MR widget with all the features requested... Its gonna take some time though. First of all I am going to add a link to the download page and decksnap's better graphic.
 
Okay, here is MacRumors widget 1.1

All I changed is made the logo not pink. Soon (tonight?) I will have 1.2 ready with a cleaner logo, some more aqua style interfaces and other goodies...

decksnap, do you have a bigger logo you can send me? That thing it tiny... I tried making a MR widget logo, and came up with this:

No Kingsly- sorry I don't. It shouldn't llok THAT bad though. Here is the same size used on my widget icon.

awesome widget, nicer than the purple one! If possible, ya know in your free time and all, could you make a widget for this rss feed? I know there would be a lot of happy people on that forum for a widget!

Just got my MBP back from repairs... so yeah. Also I was waiting for Photoshop elements 4 to arrive, which it did yesterday. Today is garage cleaning day... perhaps later tonight I'll install it. soo... im still working on it. 😉
