So, are we guessing this:

Hardware upgates:

Shuffle (likely)
iBook (maybe)
Mini (likely)

Software:

iLife (Front Row?, Photobooth?, minor tweaks? Nothing major?)
iWork (numbers?, much needed Pages 2.0, new themes for Keynote)

Anything else?

I have a feeling that we may see a new iSight with a USB2 connection and Windows compatibility. Video chatting is going to be a big thing for Apple this year, ever since they built an iSight into the iMac. I don't know if they will release iChat for Windows or if it will just work through AIM.

My parents just got a new iMac for Christmas and I have been loving using my iSight to talk to them and my family at home. I finally see how this technology can take off!

I'm hoping for a new iLife suite. In the last year, PCs have done much to catch up and now even my dad (with his new work laptop) is creating DVD slideshows with ease! I need iDVD to make a significant leap forward (which it hasn't made for a long time) and incorporate widescreen menus (a must now we have a new widescreen 40" LCD TV with HD-ready). Maybe the chance to easily make new themes? And all the Windows iPhoto copycats are up there with iPhoto now so we need to get new features there too! Macs need to stay ahead of the game!!!!

I'm also hoping for a new Final Cut Express - I'll then upgrade from my current version 1. I'm also looking at buying an iSight but I'm waiting in case they make a better version or give it a much-needed price reduction.

My sentiments exactly! :D
iLife 06 with a better iDVD, iPhoto. Front row should be included in the suite, with the optional remote. The .mac services are due for some upgrades, but I doubt that will be a keynote item. New iSights can be small, like the one in the new iMacs.

This is definitely the most anticipated Macworld keynote ever. The anticipated first notebook to use Intel processors, the expanded iPod user base and possibility of a Mac-developed DVR or movie download service all makes this really exciting.

Apologies if this has been asked a hundred times already as I'm trying to shield myself from Apple rumor sites as I want MacWorld announcements to be a complete surprise to me this year.

But basically my question is, is there going to be a live stream of the show available anywhere?

from the rumors Ive heard and my own guess' (not saying which is which;) );

1-an apple phone
2-apple iPod boombox
3-videocentric iPod
3-intel mini
4-new versions of iLife and iWork
5-full feature movies in ITMS
6-revamp'd shuffle

Oh yeah, two demerits for using "Unofficial" in your header:rolleyes:

I don't know if I could resist if they offered a Intel PB... though I'll definitely get one next year in Feb:

- Merom 64bit 2.5+ Ghz dual core processor
- 200+GB HDs
- BlueRay or HD-DVD burners
- Leopard and iLife '07 preloaded
- WiMax or at least the n spec for the airport

I'll definitely get that but it depends on Stevie whether I buy another one before that... or should I wait another year... decisions, decisions. :D:rolleyes:

Can't contain my excitement much longer!!! arrrrgh!!!

I hope arn's managed to find an on site reporter for live updates, i've found a few other sites providing coverage but i'd much rather just stick with good old macrumors.

Anyway, sorry for the fairly pointless post, I just had to vent a little.

It's nearly keynote eve!

So, anyone else itching in their pants waiting for what Steve and Apple has in store for MWSF?

Happy to help.

I'm very excited Lacero...

I'm really hoping for the Apple set top box I've been waiting for. It'd be awesome if somehow it tied in with TiVo, and I could just get rid of my regular TiVo box and use this instead.

Other than that, I'm excited to see some MacTel machines. Depending on what's announced, I may try to sweet-talk my boss into buying me a new notebook.

I've put off getting a new Quad till the keynote - even though I'm not expecting much in terms of new PowerMacs, its too close to not wait.

D

Yeah, I would do that too. :)

My predictions

1. iLife 06
2. New mini
3. New Laptop (cant guess between the iBook's and Powerbooks)
4. New Shuffle
5. New Product

I still can't think of a way to get out of school to get the updates :(
