My predictions

1. iLife 06
2. New mini
3. New Laptop (cant guess between the iBook's and Powerbooks)
4. New Shuffle
5. New Product

I still can't think of a way to get out of school to get the updates :(

I'm in line with you. I hope/ pray they will release front row with a BT remote as part of iLife 06.

As for getting out of class.. Dentist appointments always worked for me.

Why do you need pro to watch the keynote?

Apple likes to scam they QuickTime customers; by forcing them to buy the Pro version, since they do not allow fullscreen playback of video on the standard version.

No you do not require QTPro to watch the keynote. :)

Apple streaming QuickTime server back online!

http://stream.apple.akadns.net

Though it is still linking to the November iPod video event, it will likely be used to broadcast MWSF (replay, not live).

Just tell them the truth. It's MWSF 2006 people. ;) :D
How about just staying in class and seeing the updates on macrumors IRC? It's not like you don't wait a couple of weeks after ordering.

I'm really, really hoping for some intel laptops.

I'll be in the market right about the time they would start shipping if they were released Tuesday.

I get a strange sense that it won't be happening for some reason.

i want a new Shuffle, if my iPod 20Gb sale does not goes through(if it does i'm getting a 30gb iPod 5g)

And i plan to bring my iBook to school so i can see wats sup(or go to computer lab during lunch

The conference is open today is it not? I'm guessing then in a couple of hours (when USA wakes up) we'll start getting photo's of some of the exhibitions! And the best bit... The Apple banners covered over with sheets and mysterious boxes in lifts!

OOooooo!!!!

Hope there's something good under those mysterious black sheets.

Better be better than bloody .Mac updates from Paris. Geeze that fuggen gave me the shivering quits.

i for one am looking for software updates, maybe something to make iwork worthwhile and of course any new features of iLife '06...i would lov to have frontrow. of course i will be interesting to see what hardware they have in store too.....

since my computer is still relatively new and will hopefully fullfill my needs for years to come, i dont think i will be upgrading.

The conference opened on Monday, yes, and some sessions were held, but the exhibition hall doesn't open until Tuesday. I tried peeping in when someone went into that area and was promptly shooed away by a security guard. I imagine that it was a pretty busy place all day as more and more people arrived and began working on their exhibits.

It's neat here in San Francisco to see the iPod ads on all the round pillars in the streets with MACWORLD and the dates written beneath. The Moscone Center has big signs on both the North and South entrances -- you can't miss that Apple is in town.... Not to mention that nearly everyone I've seen in this part of SF is toting an Apple notebook, whether it be a PB or an iBook. In the convention center there are a couple of places with free WiFi set up so that people can plop down on the floor fire up their notebook and get online. I have internet access at the hotel so I won't be doing that but it's really nice that this service is being offered. While I was at the Apple store today, too, I noticed a young woman sitting outside with her iBook, so I think she was probably picking up the store's WiFi signals.

Today was a beautiful, sunny day -- perfect for photo-taking and touristy sight-seeing, so that is how I spent most of my time after I had checked out things at the Moscone Center and had picked up my registration packet. I did take some photos this morning around the Moscone Center but haven't yet downloaded them into here. I'm discovering that San Francisco is a photographer's dream!

I'll be up and at 'em bright and early tomorrow, getting to the Moscone Center at least a couple of hours in advance of the keynote speech so that I can hope to get a seat in the auditorium...

OTB

We may get a small taste, but nothing comprehensive on 10.5. I'm about 98% sure they'll save the big 10.5 preview for WWDC.

I think you are right, but anything will do, just a peak on something like Dashboard Spotlight etc was for Tiger give us something like that for 10.5 to look forward to :D
