Been posting these updates in a few threads the past few days and decided maybe it would be best to put them here and stop cluttering up the other threads for people that weren't interested.

Friday May 1st - Six UPS planes en route to Anchorage

If your credit card was charged overnight or this morning, your watch may be on one of these planes and you should likely see tracking information after the planes reach Louisville, Kentucky overnight tonight (U.S. orders, obviously).

But are they all filled with crates of Apple Watches?

I like the idea of having this in one thread. Thanks.

I like his thread :)

From what I gather, and after watching for the past week, flights inbound to Anchorage have watches that haven't been charged for yet. Once they hit Anchorage, they are scanned through customs and then flown to Louisville.

Either way, I sure hope mine is on one of these darn flights. Starting to get antsy because I'm so close :p

Ordered: 4/10

Confirmation: 03:06:25

This. Also, I think the planes we really care about flying into PANC are the ones from Shenzhen. (Usually UPS77.)

Many Thanks

Thanks for posting this on its own thread. I hate waiting for things in the mail except when they finally show up! I tell people they must have used Malaysian Airlines to ship mine.

Friday May 1st - Update

Six planes en route to Louisville and a seventh en route to Ontario, California.

The first flights should be landing around 1:00 AM EDT. Orders that were charged this morning could start seeing tracking information shortly after for possible delivery as soon as Saturday.

Where are you tracking this from, what website.

I'm using a FlightAware link that was provided by someone else that tracks UPS flights from China to Anchorage and then to Louisville and Ontario.

There are 6 or 7 flights every night. They are all set routes. But most likely only 1 flight from the correct Airport in China will have any watches on it and even then it won't be just watches.

A 747 could carry up to 200-250,000 watches if that was all they carried. If every plane was carrying watches there would be no delay for anyone. If only one plane each night carried only watches they'd be fillin all the June orders by now.

I would not get too hung up on the planes. These flights all happen every night and on almost exactly the same schedule so tracking them really does not help much.

Nope, but no harm in trying to guess... plus, we've moved it out of the other threads and some of us kind of enjoy following along.

Nothing in the air today. Looks like there won't be any new charges or shipments until Monday.

Right now there is one on the way to Louisville with another one that's going to take off in about 20 minutes. Sure wish it was the usual six though. Bummer.

Looks like there might be some more apple watches coming in tonight. Hopefully the late 5s and early 6s will be onboard. I count 2 to Louisville and 3 to Anchorage.

Looks like three more flights from Anchorage to Louisville were just added for later tonight. Maybe they'll get up to the usual six per night we've been seeing so far.

Side note: How many watches do you guys think they get on one plane?

As somewhat of an aviation enthusiast, I think this thread is pretty cool... It's especially interesting seeing that they're using the 747's.

What is a little bit of a let down is that being in Australia, I have no idea what the logistics are... I have seen in the past CTO Machines with a Qantas PVG-SYD (Shanghai to Sydney) label on the cartons but outside of that, I don't know if it's belly cargo on the normal passenger route or if there's a Qantas Freight flight going around.

I did note that Cathay Pacific have been doing 747-8F' flights on HKG-SYD-MEL but I have no idea if any :apple:Watch are on these flights, I was also advised that this is a regular movement now too.

Anyway, This is a thread I'll be keeping an eye on, even if it doesn't tell me anything about when I might get my Watch.

Thanks!
