Welp nevermind, false alarm. Seems that I too am now part of the infamous Memphis scan loop. Just “arrived” to Memphis 20 minutes after it left.

:( It probably won't move until tomorrow for me. I'm just outside KCMO
 
Is there any way to tell if the ticket changing your address actually worked? I’d love for my phone to come to me instead of 2 hours away.

Yeah I'd imagine there will be lots of movement tomorrow. Will probably be shipped to local FedEx hubs/stores so that they can be put on the trucks Friday morning.

Let's hope at least!

They can definitely call FedEx I have had endless reps do it. I had two do it yesterday. One wasn’t even aware they did it but she went with it and she’s the one that got it taken care of for me. But again your experience is going to vary. Yes you can call with a general question and get 5 different answers. So try again.

This has affected Verizon iPhones I've received by both Verizon and Apple.

I would double check with Verizon to be safe. In my experience the T&C agreement authorizes the device for use, allowing you to start using it as well as swap out the SIM and activate on another network.

Just be sure NOT to finish the setup process; agree to the T&C then restart and reset your device, swapping in the SIM you actually want. If you follow these instructions correctly you will prevent activation of the included SIM in the new device and deactivation of another phone + SIM on Verizon's network.

So to clerify you were able to get Verizon to change to Friday pickup at Fed Ex without delivery attempt first?

Ordered two iPhone X's Space Gray 256GB on 10/27/17. Mine completed at completed at 2:57 AM EST, 11/3 delivery & my husband's completed at 3:16 AM EST, estimated delivery date 11/10.

Card charged late yesterday afternoon for both. Oddly, my husbands (11/10 Delivery) shipped already & mine (11/3) is still "Preparing to ship" Hoping I'm still getting mine on time.

Good luck to everyone with a later shipping date, I'm sure you will get your phones early!

Maybe it won’t be so bad. I’ll try out a few of them since they are relatively cheap (as I’ve dropped $100 on them).

I submitted the ticket to change my address on the 29th and I called up FedEx today and it has processed and has updated the address on my package. They did say that it would delay the shipment until 11/6 but my scheduled delivery still says 11/03. I don’t know why it would change the delivery date because my phone is still sitting in Memphis and won’t move until tomorrow.

I was thinking of just inserting the SIM before powering it up and going through the setup process. I guess that doesn't work huh?
 
I'm confused... Is this thread people who ordered through verizonwireless.com - or ordered Verizon phones through Apple? I ordered just after midnight through verizonwireless.com - and my order still says 'processing' with 'Estimated Ship Date' of 11/3 - but everyone in here seems to have guaranteed delivery date of 11/3, and some even saying they have a delivery date of 11/10 but are getting their phones on 11/3... Did I miss something? Is Verizon punishing me? LOL

Since I was getting a different answer from Verizon every time I would call/chat them, I called FedEx with my tracking number and asked them if they could tell me if the package was re-routed. She was able to confirm that it was switched to my new address and will still be arriving Friday! So, I would suggest giving them a call to confirm.
 
I just called 611 a third time and finally got a rep who could/was willing to change the delivery address. The first two said it wasn't possible, so if you don't immediately get someone who can do it, keep trying.

Mine went from pending w/ a 11/3 date to now says processing with no date. My CC shows a pending charge w/ VZ now. Should I be worried??

Nope. If you have a pending charge that means it’s about to ship. Mine charged sometime last night and then early this morning got the email with shipping info.

No? If you were charged, they’re getting ready to ship it. You’re good.
