Yea im confused on the app...Is there a way to set it up to have everything ready to just click and place your preorder like the Apple app yet? Or has that not been updated yet?

Yeah I saw this about a week ago and was like "oooohhhh express upgrade ... yes please!" and then I couldn't find any mention of it anywhere in the app or website. I also tried to google it and found nothing.

Ok, so I have a family plan thing. My sister took my upgrade a few months ago because her phone broke, but now I'm taking her upgrade (which became available last month). When I transfer the upgrade and choose the device I want to upgrade too, can I do this with a preordered iPhone X with a Verizon SIM? Otherwise, I don't get what they expect me to choose since the X will certainly be sold out for awhile

I recently learned you can't "transfer" the upgrades like you use to be able to I am in the same boat. You have to upgrade the line with the upgrade available unless you have what they told me a "free line" meaning device on the line is 1. Eligible to upgrade and 2. Not under contract or device agreement so since your upgrade was used you wont be able to move the upgrade but just upgrade the line with one available because in the system their is a device mismatch

Who is using Verizon app/website to order vs the Apple app/website? Just curious on thoughts of what would be the quicker route (I have account info saved on both).

Right now I am currently not a Verizon client. I am wondering if I were to use the apple store app to order a Verizon iPhone X, would all I need is a friend’s or relative’s verizon wireless #, billing zip code and the last 4 of account holder’s SSN. I am wondering after giving that information would I then be able to simply sign into my own apple account and have it ordered, paid in full and shipped to an address I provide (myself not the Verizon account holder)... would it be that easy or does it come with some dumb strings attached that I’m not foreseeing? I know this may have been asked a thousand times in the forum but thought I should ask, any help is appreciated

Alright guys, Verizon reps have no clue on what they talk about something..

A verizon rep told that i should be able to order thru Apple online store and even though it does not mentioned that you can trade in your 50% paid off iphone, just purchase the phone and when you get it you can contact verizon to send you a box label to send the old phone. Is this accurate?

Also, when i try to test an upgrade on my verizon app, i get the following error,

Verizon rep told that this was not accurate and that something the app displays wrong information

At this point im just thinking on ordering thru apple as first option and second verizon website.

yea so as far as apple.com it gives me an option for verizon monthly payments but when it processes it says I have to pay in full. (im still on a contract). when using the verizon app it says I need to upgrade my plan since my old NW gUDP plan I guess will not work even if I select the full price option. The only thing that looks to work is the verizon website which lets me pay 15% down and then go all the way to checkout without any errors.

Why this is confusing... inst the "verizon device payment program" the same as the verizion trade in after 50% paid off? Just talked to apple rep and told that i need to order thru verizon

On Apple , how would you like to pay:

Apple iphone upgrade program
Verizon device payment program
Apple iphone payments ? <-- what is this??
One time full payment.

Does anyone know if I open an account with Verizon now (with my existing device) to order Verizon version of the iPhone X on apple.com (pay in full), and cancel the account after I got the phone. Will I be able to get the activation fee ($30) and upgrade fee (another $30) back? Thanks.

i did a test run. took 1 min, 32 secs from app open to "place order" on iphone 8 plus.

i HAVE to use VZW.com or VZW app since im on an employee plan.

I have gotten the last few (maybe 3 iPhones) through Verizon on their website and gotten them early enough for release day but for some reason I am so nervous I will be too late for this one.

Ok where are ya'll seeing this information about express upgrade

when you update the app, it tells you about it. all it is is, it skips you having to pick plan details.

1. Agree to pay up and send back phone (if applicable).

2. Select New Phone/Color/Storage.

3. Agree to new installment agreement, and money owed (taxes, etc).

4. Place order.

My test run took me 92 seconds.

[doublepost=1508879645][/doublepost]This is on the Verizon app? Cause I don’t see that

Alright lads.
I called up VZW to ask them about pre orders. The lady I spoke to was awesome and very well informed. She told me that yes they are taking down names and yes the phone will be backordered at least 20 min after pre orders go live.

However, she was very smart for saying this.

It’s all first come first serve on ALL fields. So it doesn’t matter if you’re pre ordering online, in store or over the phone.

She said it her self “ apple doesn’t favor anyone, it’s one stock pile for all to grab out of. Sort of like a piece of meat being tossed into the lions den”

She has 7 others in front of me on her list. She said she will call everyone 1 by 1. If I get through before she calls, simple ignore it.

If I don’t. Pick up and see if by her doing it will be faster.

This is stressful man. Wtf

You're receiving a call in order to place an order? This is faster than ordering yourself online?

It could be. Might not could be.

Which just don’t know.

I personally think the app will be fastest. Verizon always does a good job with the ones who pre order right away.
[doublepost=1508880203][/doublepost]What I am going to do is try the app and the website at the same time.

I will not use apples stock pile. They will have too much going on.
