There must be some kind of deal going on for ages. In so many TV shows and films, especially ones aimed at younger generation, they have iPhones, iPads, Mac going right and left.
If you watch the credits of a show with egregious placement you may notice they have a statement that the products were supplied for free or at low cost which is a way of saying "we were paid to advertise these" without the gross admission of explicitly saying it.

It's getting a little bit creepy. Apple fans buy Apple products, then they watch the shows produced by Apple which are trying to sell them even more Apple products. It may be unhealthy.

I guess it’s a good thing that I already own the products being featured on the morning show then.

I heard there was a HomePod featured in the first episode which I evidently missed. I probably should rewatch that scene just for that.

Maybe we should see Jennifer Anniston playing a game from Apple Arcade next, or Steve Carrell reading about his own negative coverage in the news app, or Reese Weatherspoon watching “See” on TV+ (how meta would that be?).

Why is nobody using Siri to set alarms or play music, or using airplay mirroring for presentations, or conducting meetings via 32-way FaceTime?

Since Apple is going to get blamed either way by the haters, might as well go all the way, right?

GE does not even make consumers products anymore (not for a while). Besides, owning media companies is one thing, producing your own content is a totally different thing.

When GE owned NBC/Universal, they also made consumer products and medical equipment. They routinely put their products into shows that they owned. Sorry that it does not fit your narrative.

One example would go a long way. Did they feature washer machines or refrigerators?

And ovens and dishwashers and microwaves and refrigerators etc. Really surprised that there is a sentiment this was never done yet in the history of TV and Apple is the first to feature products on a show it owns and produces.

The Apple produced show has Apple products. Shocking.
I think it's more to do with the amount of times their products appear per episode (at least for me anyways) that is concerning. Apple claims their TV+ service is "ad-free", but they're pushing boundaries here 🤔

Oh, please... Sony has been doing this for years. Remember when James Bond looked through the Blu-Ray discs of the sub-SD quality black-and-white security footage in Casino Royale?

This is nothing new, this is people pretending that product placement is new... it's not.

I wonder if the EU is going to investigate them for anti-competitive issues.
Why would they? How is product placement anti-competitive? I'd think the EU would have to look at a couple decades of Sony Pictures and Sony Television productions before they investigate a single show by Apple... This is some stupidity from people that have no awareness of the film industry.

You watched The Morning Show? Which time did you see an Apple product that did not feel organic? There have been films where the camera focuses on a Coke or Pepsi can that is not part of the action and does not feel earned. Would you point to an example where that happened in the show?

That someone took the time to play ”Hidden Object Game” on the episode to find all the Apple products that we could see if we were focused on them, does not mean that they are even close to “pushing boundries”.
