god, after reading a few of these, i don't look forward to growing up and settling down. i also realize how little work actually gets done in the world.

you (and the other greedy people here at macrumors) wouldn't understand. there's only a couple dozen of us who know the secret, in the entire world.

when i'm not meditating on the secret, i'm sitting in my cubicle pretending to do work whenever someone passes. alt-tab is my friend. though i'm sure i've been caught both on here, playing hearts, etc. i am a temp so keeping the "work" i have to do going as long as i can extends my time here. which at this point, sadly, is the best i have. some of my general work includes telling citizens of the county about the low income housing program, how it works, how to apply, etc. i also process their certificates, send them letters if they don't qualify, etc. i'm mostly using MS access and the occasional spreadsheet or word document. oh, and while i surf the internet i look for real jobs... sometimes i work on cover letters and send them out here at work. that doesn't mean i ever hear back about them

e-books? how do they work? are they free? can i find them online? i really want to read/do something productive with my time wasting but i can't just sit with a book on my desk.......

Do you actually know The Secret?

Monday and Tuesday: I get up at 7:30 so I can get to work by 8:30. At work I usually do super Mundane things. My job is to call 911 and make sure the right address and data come through. In my downtime between calls I populate spreadsheets. Neither is much fun, but I work with my cousins and we joke around and have a jolly good time, so I have fun :). I get out of work at 1:30-2:00 and I grab a lunch and get my butt to World Philosophy class which starts at 2:30.

World philosophy class is fun, I have a good professor and for the most part I pay attention. I do chat with Lee and I do sometimes browse MR. But I pay attention for the most part. I get out of class at 3:30 to 3:45 and I go home. I do my reading for the next day's class, and then I dilly dally on the internet and chat with buddies on the internet and off the internet until I go to sleep. Oh, and I masturbate a couple times .

On wednesday I do the same thing except I go to bed when I get home from class and sleep till 10 or so. Then I put on some clothes and go to the club. Then I take those clothes off and dance for tips :D. I dance for 2 to 3 hours and go home, shower, and go back to sleep. I'd say more about the dancing but it's not exactly MR safe (I got banned the last time I talked about it!). If you want to know about that go to the blog in my sig :).

I generally sleep a good 10 hours after a night of dancing. I dance really hard and it totally exhausts my body. I sleep till about 12. That gives me time to get up, prepare for my class, and then grab a late lunch and head to class.

I get home, dilly dally and end up sleeping an hour or two before going to the club. I try to get to the club at 11, but it takes me a long time to get there. I have to walk and that takes 20-30 minutes.

Well here's my current schedule:

5:30am - Alarm goes off, wife gets up to shower. I get up at 5:45 to iron my clothes.
7:20am - leave for school
8:00am - 9:30am - class
9:30am - 5:00pm - work
5:30pm - 6:30pm - eat dinner, etc.
6:30pm - 10:30pm - Homework and online class

Thank goodness it's only five weeks of this... and week 1 is nearly gone!

I'll not bore anyone with what I'm actually supposed to be doing each day but I thought I'd add a post 'cause I found my employment contract the other day and had to laugh at my official title, which never gets used.

I'm 'Colossus: Destroyer of Worlds'......well not really but it's about as accurate as the real one 'Assistant Project Director'

Clean my cousins pub. 40 minutes=£10 not bad really. dead flexible too as it's my mums job, I just take over when i want some money. Though... I might be co-manager soon. which sounds more pro than it actually is. I get more money an hour cleaning for one

Oh, let's see.....

The morning begins when the hubby gets out of the shower. I'll get up and go make him lunch. If I get up in time I'll also walk with him to the train station. After he leaves I'll sometimes get on MR for a little bit (since it's still rather early), and then I'll go workout. Sometimes I'll get started on work first, depending on my schedule for the day, and workout later in the morning/afternoon.

Work typically consists of working on customer issues that I haven't figured out yet. I'll have about 1-3 hours where I'm actively taking any new calls that come in from customers. There are a few customer names I dread hearing/seeing when calls come in. I talk to them on the phone or over email. Sometimes we'll use WebEx (WebEx is a support person's best friend). I also provide support for a legacy database management tool that customers use to manage their data. I'll usually take new calls on that for about 4-5 hours of the day. However, the customer base is significantly smaller on that product so very few calls come in for it.

Once a week I have a group meeting. Once a week I have training for an hour, and starting next week once a week I also meet with development and product management to discuss the legacy software.

The remaining time is spent writing technical documents for the knowledge base, perusing MR (time-permitting--sometimes I'll do it while waiting for a test to complete), filing bugs, and installing different versions of our software for customer tests. Occasionally, I get to do a bit of coding, which makes me happy.

Recently, I've been having to spend my lunch hours a couple times a week at the physical therapists office to help me overcome my TMJ dysfunction. I have to say that it's gotten a lot better since I started going. :)

The day starts to wind down when the hubby calls to tell me he's on the train to come home. I'll work for another 30-45 mins and then walk down to the station to meet him. I'll work for another 30 mins-1.5 hours after we get back. I'll shut everything down and then we'll make dinner together and watch the Simpsons (if it's an episode we haven't both seen too many times recently).

Ever since learning The Great Secret of life, I cringe whenever someone is a slave to what they do, and they don't realise that they can change it so effortlessly.

Oh, to be 15 and not have to be completely self- and/or family-supporting.

Wake up; get dressed; walk to train; get on the train; get on the light rail; get to the University of Baltimore; listen to a lecture for 3 hours; study for about 4 hours; get on light rail (while still studying); get on the train (while still studying); walk home; watch Simpsons/play NCAA 2004; eat Dinner; read MR/study; get undressed; go to bed

repeat.

What you think, and what you feel, and what you have are always a match, every single time, no exception.
I'm not a big fan of matches, although sometimes I like the way they smell.

But, anyway, if I were that in tune with myself, I don't think I'd be posting here.

I drive around town going to restaurants or bottle-shops and "sampling" expensive wine with the managers.

Yes, really. I figure we'll have cheap liver transplants by the time I need one. :)

Hmm....my wife says that I never match. And here I was thinking it was the clothes. Never realized getting ready in the morning was such a philosophical experience...

I get to work at 7:30 and the minions show up 30 minutes later for homeroom. I then spend six hours repeating myself in 52 minute intervals. While I'm theoretically helping larvae become respectable adults who can read, write and think, my job consists primarily of saying "Put the cell phone away" "Put the iPod away" "Take off your hat" and "______, sit down or you're going to have to leave" in approximately 3 minute intervals. I have one free period a day, during which I lately have been surfing MR.

At 2, when my "workday" is done, I oversee 30 minute detentions (my favorite part of the day, as I actually get to talk to the kids as individuals instead of as members of 30 person revolutionaries). Then I attend "Professional Development" or grade till 4:00, plan 'till about 5, and go home.

At home I grade some more and plan some more.

My alarm goes off at 5:30 the next morning, and every morning I'm this much closer to sacrificing my ideals for a job in the suburbs. :(

'Morning' is a relative term.

Until I graduated my day would be: Get up at 10:28, S.S.S, sprint to 10:30 class while deftly buttoning my shirt, tying my tie and throwing on my jacket. Finish classes by 1:30ish. Sit around. Rock climb a little. Play Halo. Frisbee.

Ah the life of high school senior spring. :D

On a side note, I wonder how many people here have the skill of putting on a jacket, tie and button down shirt (nicely) at a dead sprint. Do you?

Since graduation I wake up at 10:55, 2 minute S.S.S., drive twice the speed limit to work at 11:00. Put some hot dogs in the steamer. Uncover the ice cream. Prime the espresso maker. Brew some coffee. Flirt with the hot girl I work with. Crack jokes all day and make fun of people behind their backs. Crack more jokes. Laugh a lot. Come home. Eat. Go to a party and/or play WoW and Playstation PiP on my fpw2005. :D
