On another note, if at any point in any game from here on in JD Drew is in the starting lineup and Ellsbury is on the bench, I'm driving down there to choke out Terry Francona. Who's with me?

Agreed. Epstein needs to put Drew on the trade block during the off season and see if he can pick up a case of beer or something in exchange for him.

Next years outfield:

LF: Manny
CF: Ellsbury
RF: Coco

Ha. Those national games have some of the worst announcing possible.

I really enjoyed their ten minute banter about jump rope in the 1950s.

At least we didn't have to listen to McCarver drone on and on about how shallow Manny plays left at Fenway.Weren't as many celebrity shots during the game either.Probly be different tonight.Nothing like seeing Billy Crystal's reaction to a strikeout

Yeah,Theo needs to realize he dropped the ball on Drew. It's like Renteria all over again, just for way more $$$$..Eat some of the contract and send him back to the NL..NO way you can logically or coherently sit Ellsbury.Esp with that speed..

And a tip of the hat to Posada for hanging on to that ball..What a collision..

McCarver really needs to shut the **** up about Manny. He plays LF at Fenway better than any other outfielder can. He plays shallow because it's pretty shallow.. (310 feet) He also does a great job playing balls off of the Monster. He's thrown at least a few guys out at second who were trying for a double.

Ellsbury is either going to start in Boston or he'll be back in Pawtucket for the beginning of the year. He's not going to sit the bench.

Yeah, that was like the only thing the FOX announcers were right about.. when everyone at Fenway sort of cheered when he got back up after that collision. Posada is one of the guys on the Yankees that I actually respect (not like Juicin Giambi) He's having a hell of a year too.

Here's another interesting stat: Dustin Pedroia has the highest batting average by a rookie second baseman since 1900 (according to FOX yesterday).

I'm convinced that Gagne and JD Drew should be selling Fenway Franks instead of playing.

Now that we are in the playoffs, figured it was time to bring this one back up.
What is up with a-rod?

"Rodriguez's hopes of following up a certain MVP season with a glittering postseason is on hold. He went 0-for-2 and walked twice, once intentionally in the fifth when Sabathia wriggled out of a serious jam.

A-Rod dropped to 4-for-43 (.093) with no RBIs in his last 13 postseason games."

ouch

:D

The whole team didn't hit, Can't put the blame on A-Rod for last nights loss.
