No different than the sideline reporters on Monday Night Football,ie Mellisa Stark etc..They generally don't add much to the broadcast..

well this is going to be an interesting series.

Tuesday: Daisuke Matsuzaka (13-10, 3.76) vs. Andy Pettite (11-7, 3.69)
Wednesday: Josh Beckett (16-5, 3.21) vs. Roger Clemens (5-5, 4.34)
Thursday: Curt Schilling (8-5, 4.11) vs. Chien-Ming Wang (15-6, 3.95)

Come Friday morning, the Sox lead in the AL East could be as little as 4 games or as many as 11.

Yanks should be thanking Gagne..Lead shoulda been double digits now.. Good series coming up.We'll see which Schilling is going to show up..

Drew has to be the "embedded Yankee" :p This guy is un flippin real..It's 314 to where Damon hit that HR..That ball musta gone 315,lol..Oh well.Back at it.. Why do I get the feeling Roger will go high and tight on somebody and play some chin music?

Close game, Yankees edged out the Sox 4-3. The Rocket took a no hitter into the 6th (although the first hit was a Big Papi HR). Although we deserved more runs :p
A-rod jacked number 44, and Damon has been really good against his former team :D
Farnsworth almost blew the game for us, for the umpteenth time

I nominate J.D. Drew for MOP*.

*Most Overpaid Player.

If I may, I nominate
1) Carl Pavano
2) Kei Igawa
3) Kyle Farnsworth

Yeah, except Pavano just hit 2 HR.

Man, nobody can find ways to lose like the Sox.

Ok, so its back to 5 games. Now we hopefully we can go win a bunch against Baltimore, Toronto and Tampa, so when the Yankees come to Fenway it is about the same lead and we can get 3 back!

So is this finally the "run" that Yankee's fans have been droning on and on and on about since April? Can they finish the deal?Or are they like that girl in high school that promises to go all the way then chickens out? Stay tuned for answers to these and other questions..:p

Yanks outplayed the Sox,plain and simple. Sox got 18 walks from the Yanks and couldn't capitalize due to what's been haunting them all year..Lack of clutch hitting and leaving too many on base...

:rolleyes:Please, its the Devil Rays, even Gagne could pitch to them.

Except the Yankees lost 2 of 3 to the Rays :D

Yeah, and when we sweep them at Fenway next week, that should be the end of this discussion. :p

Until the playoffs. Unless NY loses to Sea and then loses a couple more than Seattle between now and the end of the season.

Yankees beat up on the Mariners 10-2, thanks in part to 2 homers in the 7th inning by A-rod, off two different pitchers, a feat that hasn't been done in 30 years for the Yankees. :D

Red Sox lose the game in the top of the ninth on a 2 run shot by Vernon Wells off of Okajima. :D

So the final installment of the Yankees vs Red Sox regular season kicks off tonight. The division is on the line as well as the potential match ups for the playoffs.
