If you are worried about wasting processing power, it's not really significant enough to worry about. Time calculation happens regardless. It's only wasting 1 operation by writing the updated second. The AM/PM doesn't get updated every second. ;) This is one of my many optimizations. It only gets calculated and updated when the thing needs changing.

However, having said that I like your blinking dot idea. I'll put that on a feature list here... not sure when the next revision will be though. lol

Sweet!
Looks like that bit of processing will be put in good use then.

I'm looking forward to it. I don't mind to wait for it since I won't be changing lock screen any time soon =)

Thanks.

Been using the very first slantedlock screen you made but i wanted the new one! quick question though! how do i move everything down? like so i can use my lock info without it covering up some of the lock? I did it on the old one can't figure out how to do it on this one! thanks

Hehe... Please don't hold your breath. If I do release a new revision, it will have some significant features. But I've gotten a bit lazy recently and am fairly satisfied with the theme for my personal use.(originated for personal use lol)

This one's easy. Just open up the CSS file with your favorite editor, look for div#content. Inside this item's curly braces { ... } you will find top:150px;. Simply increase that value and the entire theme will shift down. Don't worry, the wallpaper stays put. ;) So try like... top:190px; for example.

Also, the screenshot that you posted is indeed from a very early release of SlantedLock. Be sure to read the first post of this thread for all the new changes and most importantly... delete the old database before loading config of the new theme. This ensures the database is automatically created with support for new features like the auto wallpaper cycling.(even if you don't use that, the database needs to recreated)

Does anyone elses slanted lock look really dim after 4.1 JB?

Yea, that looks pretty dark... Don't know why you're getting that. I just jailbroke my iphone 4 on 4.1 last night as well. Downloaded the theme from Cydia just like everyone else. Everything works well, so I can't tell you how that's so dark.

Check other themes/tweaks. I know some app such as lockinfo has an "infoshade" that slides down with a grey/black overlay.

how do i change the font size of the clock so i can make it fit in the screen?

Take a closer look at the CSS file. You'll be surprised how easy it is to follow with the friendly naming scheme I used to write it.;)

Just downloaded from cydia, but the lockscreen is just completely black :(

Did you take a good read of the first post in this thread? ehehehe

Yep it was because Lockinfo wasn't set to 'transparent', thanks though!

It's....BEAUTIFUL! Now to figure out how to change the weather to my area. And is there a way keep your main wallpaper consistent with the lockscreen one?

Yes. In the configuration menu, set wallpaper to "Default". Then simply set your wallpapers in Settings like a non-jailbroken iphone.(the official apple's way of setting wallpapers)

Oh, no, I mean, I'd like it if my main screen's picture would alternate as well. :)

Ah no. I've limited SlantedLock strictly to the lockscreen only. Well, I tried playing with the idea for a tad, but it didn't play nice with the configuration in the database, so I just dropped it. I'm sure it can be resolved, but I'm just lazy and don't want to pursue it. Especially when Saurik wrote one that does just that! And it came default with winterboard. May require some tinkering to get it just right, but his theme does wallpaper cycling with crossover effect too!

Wait wait wait, so his would work with your theme?

I feel like I'm missing something very basic here and I'm starting to feel like an idiot. Everything is working fine on the screen, except the lock slider. It's still the original iPhone slider and it takes up a large portion of the screen, I really wish I could figure out how to get that small lock as the lock slider :(

The configuration screen is also the installation file. When you launch the configuration screen, it automatically creates the database for you. If you are seeing that screen, that means the database was not created successfully or that it is corrupted.(or for whatever reason, it cannot be used.)

To "reinstall" the theme, delete the database in Safari's settings then proceed to launch the configuration menu again.

I did what you suggested but still no complete config screen. Very frustrating, seeing it worked on my phone just fine.

I got a question for those of you on 3G/3GS: Did SlantedLock 1.5.4 work for you right off the bat after you SSH the package onto your phone? (Meaning, you did not have to do any tweaking like changing images or renaming files to make it work.)

kathie63, you got PM.

Just installed this and I looks great. In struggling to find a decent slide though. Any suggestions?

What's the one in some of the screenshots where its just the padlock?

If you are referring to the one from the first post, then it should be included with the theme. Just make sure you got no other themes "above" SlantedLock in winterboard theme list.
