I remember when Steve Jobs introduced iPod Photo years ago. It was only for photo because the screen was too small (2") to watching videos comfortable, even when competitors use similar tiny screens to play video. Guess what... next year Steve Jobs introduced iPod Video with "so much bigger display" 2,5"...
Strange enough, there were iPod nano's with 2" display (3rd and 4th gen) and 2,2" (5th gen) and suddenly screen size was not a problem to play video.
Apple changed their mind a lot, so they can bring Touch ID (under display) back. They can always say that by this move, user can secure device even more than ever (fingerprint + face scan simultaneously)
