There is no 5.5 inch iPhone

Yeah it truly is small but it does fit good in your pocket. I think 4.7" will be good as long as the design we've been seeing isn't final.. I wish it would be one solid color on the back similar to the iPad mini
There is nothing to back up no 5.5in iphone. Idk why the OP's opinion is taken as gospel.
I for one want a 5.5in iphone 6. If there isn't one I'll just get the 4.7in. I guess I'll be in the minority here when I say I think there will be a 5.5in iphone6.

I agree with you, I hope there is a 5.5 iPhone 6 a bigger screen like that would be great.
I don't care what size it is, but if they make it bigger they should leave it the same thickness and add in a massive battery rather than trying to make it thinner.

True, Apple has become old and conservative, fat and happy. Having learned the art of milking every last cent out of every product, they're already meeting all their goals. Masters of marketing and ginning up attention they've got everything under control.
While they could bring out 4.7 & 5.5" iPhone models, they've got total control over the minds of their followers. So much so, those people will do as told. You've got to admire Apples position, no other company has the leverage and influence they do.
It would be a major mistake on Apple's behalf not to introduce a 5.5" iPhone.

I had the HTC One M8 for the last three weeks. The device has a 5" screen and I enjoyed it a lot, but it was very difficult to hold with one hand.
Anything bigger than 4,7" is too big for me and I won't buy. 5,5" is a phablet. Some people might like them, but I certainly do not like this tendency for bigger phones.

Call me silly, but I'm fine with the 3.5"/90mm screen on the 4s.

I agree, not sure it's for me but lots of people will like it, but I wouldn't rule out loving it once it was in my sweaty hands..
There is some small news leak activity happening now, with a mockup based on yesterdays case. still reckon it won't happen this year though

Don't mistake rumors for mockups, which are created by case manufacturers for very specific purposes.
If given the choice, I would go with the 5.5" unless there was some seriously compelling exclusive reason to go with a 4.7"
Just add circuits and antennas to iPad mini retina and now you really have a phone. Beat everyone else to the next size.
