I think it's not realistic to have at the same time "space gray" and "white bezels".I stand by my prediction.

Great....so my maxed out Intel 2020 iMac will be good and top of the line for the next 10 years....running 10.15.7Well Apple said on the earnings call today they expect the 24" iMac and iPad Pro to be supply constrained, so that sounds like TSMC won't be able to meet demand for M1 and Apple is likely prioritizing the MacBook Air as it is most certainly the most popular M1 Mac.
So if they cannot meet M1 demand, one wonders how this will impact M1X - could we see a slip in the launch of the "pro" desktops and laptops?
We're all speculating here, me first of course. But based on past history, Apple has always put colours in their non-pro branded products and used gray/space gray for their pro-branded products. This can also be seen in the iPhone lineup. There should be a bigger iMac coming. But we don't know whether it will come in colours. Might end up having only Silver or space grey. I would like to see all the colours of 24" in the bigger iMac also.
Seems so. That will be a disappointment. But here's hoping. 🤞We're all speculating here, me first of course. But based on past history, Apple has always put colours in their non-pro branded products and used gray/space gray for their pro-branded products. This can also be seen in the iPhone lineup.
Again, I'm speculating and have not insights ofc, but based on that logic it's really unlikely that a better spec'd iMac 27-32" (better Mx chip, better LCD, etc. than the recently released iMac 24") will come in colours.
They’ve never had an cheaper iMac Pro and I see zero reason to see why I would believe they’re going to do that barring reputable reporting or leaks. If I am kinda "right" as per my first post, i.e. having the naming iMac Pro, it doesn't mean this will be a $4000 entry-price computer. Look at the MacBook Pro 13", it has the "Pro" mnemonic and is not priced as if it were a Mac Pro.
You seem to associate the price of the previous iMac Pro with what I write and that's not what I meant.
Fairly certain it was from Mark Gurman himself. I believe he said it may be an Intel Mac so maybe there will never be a big Apple Silicon Mac Pro.I haven't read anything about a bigger Mac Pro. Can you point me to the link please?
There's definitely a room for it: a computer that can start at $2500 or so, but also has the ability to be upgraded to a $5000 computer while maintaining an integrated design. That's a feature the Mac Pro cannot achieve, but the Mac Pro can be even more upgradeable (dedicated extensions such as afterburner).
There's a market for the iMac Pro.

Let's put - imho - some basic logic into this. If as suggested in the latest posts, the next iMac is "simply" the same as the recently announced iMac 24" with a bigger screen (be it 27", 28" or 32"), why not announcing it at the same time? There's no technical nor marketing reasons, or any reasons, not to. It would be as if Apple announced the iPhone Pro and the iPhone Pro Max during two separate events whereas there's mostly just a screen size difference between both. It makes no sense to me.
On the other hand, if the next iMac is a different computer then, yes, they are reasons to make another event for it. Announcing it alongside new MacBook Pro would reinforce the idea that it's named iMac Pro.
Finally, l don't think there will be a design change from the recently announced iMac 24". The only changes I can see are:
- Space gray and black bezels (obviously no white bezels for a space gray computer)
- An adjustable stand (many people wish such a feature, I think Apple can listen on this)
Who said it will be space gray at all?I think it's not realistic to have at the same time "space gray" and "white bezels".
Like many, I think there will be a iMac Pro with at least a 30” screen later in the year.
A larger iMac “Pro” will not have white bezels
I will absolutely stand by that prediction
