Well, dear paying ADC members. Apple has handed out 9A559 already to first class citizens, but not you (due to piracy concerns). Obviously they bet on the wrong horse. Paying ADC developers are left behind and the first class citizens leaked it within 24h.

Now let's see how long they can suppress that 9A559 is indeed GM.

I think you meant 9A581 because I've been running 9A559 for more than three weeks.

In any case, can you provide a link to the leaked GM? Assuming for a moment that you can, doesn't that blow away your whole argument? You claimed Apple would keep the GM build number secret and only release it internally, yet supposedly the GM is already available on pirate sites? That doesn't add up.

Either way, I'm sure the GM build will be available to ADC members before the end of the week.

There "was" a software update for 9a559 (supposedly), however it just updated some non-important files and never ended up changing the build number.

From what I had heard, the 9a581 release on various "third-party" sites was a confirmed fake, that it was instead 9a559.

If there is another "GM leak" online, I would be very interested to hear about it.

The 9a581 was a fake.And a good way for Apple to snoop out filesharers

So you are telling me 9A581 is GM and has been leaked?

Can anyone confirm this? it's not like it couldn't be a fake torrent.

I think the 9A581 is an internal build only, and generally these builds don't get leaked.
It's the ADC builds that show up on dah webb shortly after the seed....

There has been a torrent claiming it to be the GM, but that was a hoax.

But, it could be that the ADC "real" GM (probably some build with a higher number than the internal one, i.e. 9A583 orso) will come online shortly.

Apple has given in to the filesharers being much faster at distributing the GM than they would be able to produce DVD's in quantity. As soon as declared GM the clocks count backwards. As the GM spreads through file sharing networks loyal customers get left behind more and more when non-paying customers can't wait to start the party early.

So don't expect anything. Apple is going to keep just quiet. The GM is going to be an Apple internal build or they just deny identity between the last seed and GM until mass shipment.

As it turns out all this has proven exactly true. Only the stated leak turned out to be fake - luckily for Apple. Also the option of releasing 9A581 to developers is still on the company's table. Apple is going to evaluate developer feedback now. If the majority starts stomping their feet and yelling out lout we are going to see an ADC release by wednesday. If the crowd stays relatively calm like it is right now - being pleased that pirates don't get it before paying folks again - there won't be any release until friday.
