I also asked myself WHY they haven't said a word about it until I've read the article. Sounds like a plausible reason.

reminds me of what people over heard from the conversation between Jobs and Schmidt around March 26th, when Steve Jobs said: "They're going to see it all eventually so who cares how they get it."

Think maybe Job's refering to the stolen/lost iphone 4G? If so, then he's pretty cool about it. Or maybe he's just refering to the general leaks that include iPad, iPhone OS 4, iPhone, and any other future Apple products at the time.
