reading comprehension does not seem to be our forte. You appear to need justification in your buying habits and have show classic examples of persecution complex. You need some help and I'm finished with this thread.

So you don't think the guy you're replying to has a good point. That's fine.

What isn't fine, though, is resorting to insults (see bold in quote). I think you need help.

Also, spell checking does not seem to be your forte.

Going to try and respond to your 'points'. Replies from people like you are always hilarious, so here we go.

How about the 30 pin dock connector, that no one else used except Apple and then Samsung?

30-pin dock connector is not cross-compatible.

How about the fact that Samsung copied the minimalist design concept with no ports, while every other Android based tablet have ports?

In the same vein, I wonder why Apple copied LG's Prada design? Y'know, the 'minimalist design concept'?

What about Samsungs 'similar' icons to Apple's, phones that look very similar to iphones, and so on?

Um, take a look at the Apple v Samsung case re Sammy's Galaxy S phones. If my memory serves me right, Apple failed in getting an immediate/permanent injunction based on the similarity of the Galaxy S's design and look of their user interface, which is what they were shooting for. What they did get though was an injunction that will take place sometime in October, unless they change how the Gallery functions (which Samsung has already said they'll do).

So, what about it?

and have you seen Samsung's new attempt to copy the MacBook Air?

Have you seen Apple's attempt to sue Samsung?

Yay, irrelevance ftw.

the Galaxy tab is better than the iPad? I think you have rose colored glasses on.

They're black colored, and they're called sunglasses, tyvm.

You might want to check some tech review sites. Tech specs and actual use can vary significantly. I'll tell you what, how about you grab your galaxy tab, and I'll grab an ipad2 and we'll create a document that is 2 paragraphs long. When I finish, you'll still be trying to get through paragraph one waiting for the letters to show up after you type them.

Erm, never had that issue with my Transformer or my Tab 10.1, but nice try, I guess?

This is just a minor example of the issues with Honeycomb and the Galaxy Tab.

Not an issue with either HC nor the GT, as my first-hand experience shows. Where do you get your information anyways?

Hate to tell you this, but out of all the tablets, the Tab is generally listed as one of the worst.

As stated in the Engadget review:

Slimmer than the iPad, it's far and away the nicest Honeycomb tablet to date, and one Android fans shouldn't overlook.

And that's coming from a usually Apple biased blog. Where in that statement does it say the Tab is the 'worst'? If anything I'm getting the impression that it's the 'nicest'.

It's a bad knock off of the iPad, nothing more. This is not opinion, but court documented fact.:D wink wink ;)

Show me a court document that says 'The Galaxy Tab is a bad knock off of the iPad, nothing more'. No? Huh.

And if you worked IT (I've been using Microsoft since it came out to the public), then I find it amazing you never jailbroke an iDevice and realized the true potential. By the way, do you have virus protection installed on your Android phone? :)

Wow you're just setting yourself up aren't you? First you say you need to jailbreak an iDevice to 'realize the true potential', then you make fun of Android for having anti-virus available?

I suppose you're also the kind of person who thinks Windows needs anti-virus to run otherwise you'll get BSODs every 2 seconds and viruses popping up onto the screen every time the computer's turned on?Newsflash: Anti-virus is unnecessary nowadays, whether you're using Mac OS X, Windows, iOS, Android, webOS, etc., unless you enjoy downloading files and running shady things from shady websites.

This was kind of funny to read. You are shooting off in every direction trying to hit a mark that doesn't exist. Thought we were discussing tablets and you rationalize some outta left field point by discussing the computer market and supercomputers? And in case you missed the last year and a half, the iPad IS the tablet market. Samsung isn't even in 2nd or 3rd place in this market.

Eh? Apple is first, second, and third in the tablet market? Wha...?

Last paragraph was good though. Kettle, meet pot.

Perhaps his claim of you being immature was unnecessary at that time, but you posting an insult by editing his name makes his point of you being immature and needing to grow up rather valid. Calling someone 'demented' based on their preferences is infantile.

And I wasn't bashing the Galaxy Tab. I was simply stating public records and court documents. The Tab blows.

Once again, where's the court document/public record that says 'The Galaxy Tab blows'? If you can't back up your claims don't post them.

The reviews and public agree.

Let's take another quote from the aforementioned Engadget review, shall we?

The conclusion we came to after using the Tab 10.1 Limited Edition mimics the conclusion we've drawn here: this is the best Honeycomb tablet to date, and lucky for you, this one's available to purchase!

Where does it say the Galaxy Tab blows? Maybe my sunglasses are too dark. Who knows?

Or maybe a quote from Gizmodo, another well-known Apple-biased blog will suit your fancy better.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is amazing in two ways.

...—this is the new Android tablet to buy.

Unsubstantiated claims about the Galaxy Tab 'blow'ing ftw?

Samsung can't sell them, because rational people don't want them.

Try not to take things so personally.

It's hard not to really when you insult other people by calling them names.

You bought a POS tablet.

The reviews say it's great (see above). I guess it's as much of a POS as an iPad 2 is.

Live with your decision.

Huh? If anything you need to learn stop insulting people and calling their things 'POS'es, not teach other people how to think.

I'll stick with my HP Touchpad and my iPad2.

I have both the TouchPad and an iPad 2 and I honestly fail to see how either is 'infinitely better', as you seem to think it is. Perhaps you can enlighten me (this time, try actual facts, not things you make up).

Cause you know, I'm a rabid Apple fanboi, as you so eloquently pointed out. :p

I'm glad you can admit it. :)

Downranked for stating the truth. Can't say I'm surprised, but at least try to craft a response, hm?

I want some of what you are having if you think that site is usually Apple biased. If anything they are far from being Apple biased, and dare I say neutral when it comes to reviews.

Have you seen their page when ONE apple product is released, and when multiple products from another company is released? For the former, basically every article is about that one product and has BREAKING tags everywhere, while multiple product releases from any other company only warrants a single short article.

Hell, they tag iOS updates and mockups as BREAKING, while truly breaking news (like Google buying Motorola) isn't.

I want some of what you're having if you think they're neutral.

Funny thing, I was going to post up engadgets review of how the tab is regarded as the best honeycomb tablet.

Seriously Mac.world, you're just rambling nonsense now and sound like a blind apple fanboy.

That very neutral. If they really were Apple biased, they would be giving computers from the likes of Dell, Acer, or Asus no higher than a 5 out of 10. Hell I've seen them give an Acer a 7 when we all know it didn't deserve more than a 4, maybe 5. Or what about how they cover a event like CES in-depth and Mac World barely gets a discussion.

Just because you don't like Product X doesn't mean that it's a bad product. All that proves is that you are a Apple biased person.

The Mac Mini doesn't deserve any praise at all. It's overpriced, slow, and lacks many important ports. Yet they gave it an 6 even though we all know it didn't deserve more than 2, maybe 3. [/s]

Tell me, does that make me sound biased or 'neutral'?

Or what about how they cover a event like CES in-depth and Mac World barely gets a discussion.

They stopped covering MacWorld in-depth since Apple stopped having keynotes there. They're Apple-biased, not Apple-accessories-biased.

Did you see the number of articles they had on WWDC? There was a separate article for what seemed like every single new feature, no matter how minor ("Apple iOS 5 adds instant camera access from lock screen and shutter release to volume-up button"- really? they couldn't just stick all of these minor new features into one 'iOS5 new features' article?).

Look at what I found on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Smart-Cover-Cas...s&hash=item415bfd7ea9&clk_rvr_id=252972641460

It is so frustrating how everyone tries to copy off of Apple :(

If I am remembering correctly, the blackberry smartphones I used 6 or 7 years ago had a magnet in their cases that put the phone to sleep and automatically bypassed the lock screen when pulled from the holster. So Apple wasn't the originator of the idea. I don't know if RIM was either, but Apple sure wasn't the first.

I love my Nokia phone, and love my Sony tv, when I easily could have used one of my Mac Mini and a Apple display to watch tv. I actually don't like any x86 product so I show equal biased against anything x86 based, and that includes Intel Macs. If you want biased, cnet has many reviewers biased against Apple. Even if Apple isn't at MacWorld, they should be giving it a fair coverage, which shows they are a neutral site. As for WWDC does get the right amount of coverage imho, and I am sure many others would agree.
