Today while at the Apple Store, the cord on the iMac popped out while I was adjusting the screen tilt... not very impressive :)

That looks pretty sweet ! . . . Is it sturdy enough to support a 27" iMac?

OWC has it listed as supporting 35 pounds. The 27" weighs 30.5 pounds.
I see that there is a bit of a price difference between the one with side ports and the one with the front ports. The front ports just make more sense for me.

Thanks, think I'm gonna order one.

Is there enough room under the stand to fit the wireless keyboard and the trackpad?

The Apple wireless keyboard is 28cm wide, and the Magic Trackpad is 13cm wide. The Apple wired keyboard is 42cm wide, so you should have plenty of space horizontally. Not so sure about vertically though, as the wireless keyboard has a slightly higher height. Hope this helps :)

It does, thanks. Hoping it fits vertically also.

Instead of applying screw .. just make the plug magnetic like in Macbooks

Safe and secured, tightly connected without additional screw which make things look bad

Huh? The whole point of MagSafe is that it will disconnect more easily to prevent the MacBook being damaged if someone trips on the cable. If a MagSafe connector is more secure than the power cord in the back of the iMac, something has gone very very wrong!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I'm gonna get the front USB one for my 27"iMac I was worried about it not centering underneath but I found a video on YouTube with a 30" Apple Cinema Display on it and it looked fine. I can use the3 front for my USB headset when i use it and not have to keep it plugged in. Also, with those ports I'll have more than enough with a total of 10 4 on the iMac 4 on the stand and 2 on my numeric keyboard. But with this I don't see much use for the ones on the keyboard.

Sounds to me the OP needs an extension cord. There should be enough slack in the power cord that you can move it out a little bit to reach the ports, or even to spin it if necessary. If the cord is taut that is putting strain on the end, plus asking or trouble if the unit moves even a little bit.

Sweet thanks for the post Roland I was thinking of getting this one

Do you think it would support my macbook pro and an iMac 27"?

The iMac stand sits on my desk with the back edge of the stand is near the edge of the desk which is against the wall. The way the stand is designed the main body of the iMac sits forward and is still a good 5"-6" from the wall... I'm not sure what you are trying to plug in, but I can't imagine you needing more space than that unless you have the sides of the iMac covered as well.

If I were going to make any criticism or suggestion, it would be that the stand should swivel side-to-side in addition to up-and-down tilt.
