No doubt an inside job. The fact that they knew which truck to hit is a clear sign.

People don't realize that a stolen iPhone is not worth $0. As last resort, it can be stripped and sold for its PARTS.

Actually, it can be sold and used overseas. It's just blacklisted for US carriers.

You can’t buy anything in sf for $300k

Not true. You can buy a parking spot, and pitch a tent in it.

A large house in San Francisco can easily be $3.7 million lol. $370k gets you nothing. One bedroom apartment is $3,500/month at the low end.

I'm shocked at how few people understand the living strategy of buying a parking spot and pitching a tent in it.

Apple is probably going to block the stolen serial numbers on the activation servers.

The thieves will end up with 300 paperweights. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when they figure out their stolen booty is worthless!

Although Apple can probably lock out the S/N and UDIDs why would they actually do that? Risk the phones being damaged, not being able to fully locate the phones to whom is using them or stole them or bought them and then locate the theives easier.

The grinch who stole X-mas.

Yes he definitely did. And I don't think they'll be returning these of the newfound goodness of their hearts lol. or wallets for that matter.

That took a lot of balls. I can’t help but wonder if perhaps the UPS driver was in on it, otherwise how could they know the exact time and place of this specific shipment? I’m glad these devices are useless to them.

Yeah he was in on it. Still how would he know their phones in the large box? I doubt Apple ships the iPhones individually boxed. Still I can't wait to see how these guys are found.

Reminds me of those morons that stole a macrumors members macbook/iPhone plus lots of cash out their car and video themselves fanning the cash as if right out of a hip-hop video or movie.

EDIT: Burger King Balling!

Full Video from the Burger King Money Team boasting about their hustle.

LMAO!!!
[doublepost=1509831746][/doublepost]I wonder if these Burger Team Hustlers got out of jail and then tried this exact heist?!

It's a brand new iPhone X. For about one year from now, all iPhone X repairs will be under warranty.

Seems mean spirited of Apple to punish their fans who didn’t know any better when they purchased the phone on eBay or wherever.
You can't buy stolen goods. You can pay money for stolen goods and hold stolen goods in your hand, but you can't own them. So no iPhone _owner_ will be affected by this.

If Apple found that you bought an iPhone X from eBay, say for $2,000, and they found the phone was stolen, they would have every right to demand the phone back from you.

Yep, Dumb and Dumber thought they were on a good thing but failed to understand a few things about stealing iPhones, doh!
