Ny s5 does the same exact thing and it drives me crazy. What are some of your other negatives going from android to iphone?
I ordered mine last night, should be getting here in 2 to 5 days, I'm going into it with a clear head cuz I know, coming from a different operating system there are going to be positives and negatives. I really want to like it though lol
Still getting familiar again after being on Android for the last 3 years or so. So I am sure I will have more nagging issues and wow moments. That's not to say I haven't touched iOS since moving away from the iPhone 4. I just haven't had one as a daily personal phone for me. My main driving force to looking at going back was updates come from Apple and as long as the servers aren't overloaded, you will get it day one on release. 5.0.1 update through AT&T really caused a lot of problems for me on my Note 4. Seeing that updates are available for 5.1.1 through Samsung with no word from AT&T when they will release, let alone 6, just really doesn't sit well with me anymore. Nexus devices never really appealed to me and even with the latest releases, still do not. I liked Samsung devices and Touchwiz features (even though I generally used Nova).
There are differences and then there are similarities. I find my self reaching for the back button which can be maddening but at the same time, I love the new back feature to get back to the app you were previously in from the top menu bar. I didn't always use split view on the Note 4 but I know I will miss that occasionally. Stylus was a nice tool to have but it's us became less and less for me. My real issue is the loss of my Moto 360 and the ability to just quickly see who messaged or ignore that phone call without touching the phone.
I will say I am keeping most everything I can in the Google environment still. Doing so makes it easier to switch in the future and allows that information to be more readily accessible from my non Mac systems. Make sure to give it more than a few days. Put the S5 away and don't touch it again until at least a week with the iPhone.
