If you want a full covering even protector, check out RhinoShield. I had it for my X and it converts even the bezels. It looks line there isn't even a SP on it. Works with a case also.

This.

Plastic screen protectors are junk, Glass only. And get a FULL coverage glass one.
Grabbed this one because it would get here before the iPhone

My Spigen one that I ordered day 1... still not here.

Just look for full coverage 3D ones. I'd post the Maxboost ones that everyone loves, but not full coverage.

Because I have a nice hook up at AT&T I got one of the body guardz pure edge to edge for my max. I had them on my X and they are just a brilliantly awesome screen protector.

Sounds like we have the same thing. It really IS awesome. I don’t have a link sadly. It was a random ad on Instagram. More than likely sourced from AliExpress. Got to me within two days. They really are worth it. To me.
Yeah, I got one from AT&T. I get a good discount on accessories so I scored one of the body guardz pure edge to edge. I had them on my X and love it.

Covering amazing screen with extra layer of cheap plastic or glass, for me, goes against the core of using such amazing hardware.

Exactly this. Just seems like complete idiocy to slap a bit of cheap junk on the screen of your >$1000 device. Just buy Apple Care and enjoy the phone as it was intended & upgrade in 52 weeks. That's what I do.

I use the glass screen protector. It goes all the way to the top on my X.

I don’t like scratches on my screen, so I always use a screen protector.

Try it without for a few days and see how you feel.

Just came to this thread. Here's my dilemma; I had Apple fit the Belkin screen protector back in November (I think) and it's been OK, apart from me catching the damn thing when I swipe up. Then, this morning I've noticed that it's cracked, top left and now it's really bugging me! Contemplating taking it off. I used to never use screen protectors as I could never fit them without bubbles or being slightly off centre but when Apple started fitting the Belkin's the fit was perfect.

So, off or on? I can't decide.....

Do it!!! I strongly dislike them.

Be prepared for micro scratches though.

I was waiting for someone to say they don't use them and was all set to do without but....

Last night after a few drinks I pulled off the Belkin protector and fitted a "apiker" glass screen protector and what's more the the point, and to my great surprise, perfectly! I bought these after getting my xs Max and there's 4 in the pack. It comes with a frame that you put onto your phone and as long as you get rid of any dust they go on perfectly.

So, for now, I'm sticking with a screen protector.

Link!?

The screens on all of my old iPhones were scratched to hell so I splurged for a very expensive $10 glass protector for my less than a month okd XR (I should have to spend $0 protecting my screen from anything that’s not a head-on collision with a sidewalk).

This ****ing **********ing crappy **** is already chipping. And it seems kinda random.

I’m between a rock and a hard place. Don’t know whether to live with the chipping, spend $10 every 2 months or accept that my iPhone will look like **** after 3 months.

I used to have a screen protector, but I don't have one since I have my Max since last october and no scratches so far. I don't see the need to have one if you take care of your stuff. I just put an Apple leather case and that's it.

I have an X and use the 3D full screen tempered glass protectors and a back glass protector. I never pay full price for mine on Amazon so I don’t mind buying a few. They all work with any case I use and never peel up at the edges. I’ve had several Genius reps who couldn’t tell I had glass protectors on the front and back, when taking my device in for service. Before buying the X 14 months ago, I used to upgrade annually but now upgrade every 2 years so scratches or cracks would drive me crazy, plus I have kids and I would hate for my son who love to throw things, to get ahold of my phone which mind you he has gotten ahold of several times.

I have T-Mobile and AppleCare+ is bundled in with my JUMP! upgrade fee so I don’t pay extra for theft or loss insurance. It all depends on the person and wether they like screen protectors or not.

I’d NEVER use my iPhone without screen protector. Few seems to forgot that AppleCare is not available in some countries and when you shatter your screen, you’ll have to pay a lot to get it fixed. and on top of that, there are countries where you still pay $1200 for newest XS Max ofc, but wages are about 3x smaller that US’ so imagine buying a $3600 phone when screen replacement costs about $1200. You would use a screen proctor.

I really like the full screen Tethys protectors. They go on easily and don’t detract from the phone visually or touch wise.

I find that my phones would always get scratches from earrings. Each new phone, I would say to myself - this time I’m not using a screen protector. But after a week or two, I would start to see scratches. Then I’d use a full screen protector.

Trust me you will regret it. I didn't get one for my son's Max and now it had a huge scratch on it. I felt so bad after only a week.

I also had mine in Apple Folio leather case which scratches the screen and screen protector. I returned the case to Apple because it was leaving wear marks on the screen.

So I just got a screen protector on my Max and got it on perfectly, it looks and feels as if there were nothing on it other then two problems. When you swipe up to close an app you feel a bump because that's where the edge of the screen protector is, and that just doesn't feel smooth like apple intended. That's a minor thing tho, the biggest problem that I have with the screen protector is that it makes the notch stand out much more. This is an oled screen, so when watching YouTube videos in 16:9 you shouldn't be able to see the notch because the black bars are pitch black, however, with the screen shield I am able to see the outline of the notch and it doesn’t blend in as well if that makes sense. Thinking about taking it off, I have apple care anyways. Thoughts?

I have a Max, and use an iCarez full coverage, glass screen protector. I have an Otterbox Symmetry case on my phone, and there is no gap between the case and the screen protector. I can't feel it when I swipe up, and i can barely reach my fingernail in the space between the case and sp. To each their own, but I didn't sell my soul to Verizon, only to have hairline scratches (or scratches of any kind) on my screen. LOL

Haven't used them for years. I recommend them though for those who carry rocks and sand in their pockets especially in slim fit slacks.
