Hey Everyone,
I am a pre-med asistant student guy who's currently really taking the time in deciding if I should purchase a Macbook Pro 13' (Late 2011) or a Macbook Air 13".
My internet usage: it's used daily and I use it for: Facebook, Tumblr, Online Shopping, Chatting, Downloading Music, Movies, Uploading photos from my iPhone.
There is this virtual game that I do every now and day play, it is similar to second life, called vSide.
That is pretty much it. What would you guys recommend me buying?
And what are other things I should purchase along with the laptop?
There are ways of dealing with that, for those who want the MBA. One example is splitting your iTunes library, keeping your favorite movies/music on the internal drive, so it's there when you travel, and storing the rest of your library on an external drive that you can access when you're on your home network. It works quite well.I like the Macbook Air but unfortunately they space is a deal breaker for me. Since I have a lot of music and movies on my laptop, I realized that anything less than 250GB just wouldn't cut it for me. BUT if you're just going to be browsing the web and skype then a MBA would be better for you, I guess.![]()
This is my 13" Macbook Pro Baseline
Specs are:
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
500GB 5400-rpm
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
Everything is working so fast! I love it. I bought a keyboard protector in case of any spills and I got a sleeve for only 40 bucks at the Store. I'm a happy camper. Any apps or anything I should know about? I've only got vSide up, Skype and 1Password onto my laptop. The people at the apple store uploaded them for me because I had no idea what I was doing really.
Congrats on your purchase!![]()
Thank you and I apologize!
How do you do the bottom of your messages of where it shows what machine you're using? LOL. I hope I made sense there.
Look at the application recommendation links and other info in the link I posted earlier (post #25).Any apps or anything I should know about?
