Everyone keeps citing the "eco system". What is the big deal? You can sync between most platforms these days with any number of apps. iCloud is not the only game in town. There are many ways to sync and it's not just brand related.

I ask because I feel many people cite the "eco system" as a catch phase but rarely point out what about the eco system is so important that they just couldn't bare any other brand of phone. Makes no sense.

I get what you’re saying fully. But for the ‘average consumer’, (me) - I can’t be bothered to do anything beyond the simplest tasks when it comes to syncing my junk. The way my iPhone works so easily with my MB and Watch just makes it all so much easier. A couple toggles and I’m good to go.

That said, I have gone back and forth between Android and IOS, and I’m a huge fan of the Note line. I enjoy a lot of things about Android, but I prefer Apple devices, ultimately. Not just for the ecosystem, but it is a large factor.

Not anymore. That’s been fixed.

No it hasn't. I had the S9 and it was really laggy. Happened to every Samsung I've had and I've had a lot of them. Finally switched to the iPhone which I was reluctant to do and it's much smoother

Yes it has. I had the S10+ and it was smooth

The carriers have really good deals sometimes. All it took for me was an email from Verizon to upgrade my 6 to an XR.

Of course, it might be another four-plus years for me to bite again, but it was well worth it.

I used to upgrade every other year, but it’s too costly at this point.
