Anyone prefer using ThinkorSwim on Big Sur over Windows 10? I will be ordering the M1X as soon as its available and will put updates in here

i know, i always thought the name was kind of weird lol. this platform is on over 15 hours/day for me lolYes, good luck
But that name Thinkorswim doesn't really make sense. Maybe '"Thinkorsink" would make more sense.
I guess Thinkorsink was already taken. Then again, you might either 'think quick or get soaked'?
I don't know
i'm running TOS on this machine with multiple charts, timeframes & studies detached and minimized plus my main overall market chart. only problems are on TOS's end and my internets sometimes.
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB
really want to get a new mini to run my main charts on my 75" TV.
I currently have a 65" TV connected but I am def buying a 75" or 85" when I update my setupi'm running TOS on this machine with multiple charts, timeframes & studies detached and minimized plus my main overall market chart. only problems are on TOS's end and my internets sometimes.

i did brother, trust me, ive seen the vids on youtube about it... but yeah, when its native its going to be greati run it on my base mini, while also keeping multiple browsers open and 2 screens. runs perfectly fine for me. you have to adjust the ram settings on tos so it doesnt lag. tos doesn't run natively yet on the m1, its coming soon and when it does it will probably run even smoother for me than it already does.
also, yours is 8gb ram?i run it on my base mini, while also keeping multiple browsers open and 2 screens. runs perfectly fine for me. you have to adjust the ram settings on tos so it doesnt lag. tos doesn't run natively yet on the m1, its coming soon and when it does it will probably run even smoother for me than it already does.
It's probably a play on "sink or swim". But in trading, you never want to be sinking. So, if you think first, you will be able to swim (or stay a float if you will). Anyway, it's a trading platform now owned by TD Ameritrade.Yes, good luck

Doesn't sound too "Pro" lol... glad to hear on TOS. I ordered the M1 Mini this past Thursday guys, I'm not waiting for the M1 P/M. I got 16/gb 256gb storageTOS works great on the M1 mini. But Fidelitys Active Trader Pro, forget about it. Sooooo laggy.
you know it SirMore RAM is always better -- especially for trading platforms.
thanks for the pic. interested to see how it is on the M1On an Intel based 2014 MBP, I am using 9 gb with TOS using 6 charts, 3 level 2s, 2 DOMs, and several watch lists (with a laptop screen and an external montior) and Numbers and Firefox with four tabs opened. This is pretty lean and I do not think 8 gb would be as great. Don't know anything about the M1 devices ... yet.View attachment 1877797
