BATTERY.

They could easily double the battery and still have a very very thin phone.

My battery is OK right now but it would sure be nice to have an extra 600-700 mAh.

The most I ever go through my battery in a day is about 50%. Only if I'm playing games for hours do I need to charge it more than once a day.

Umm... Isn't that what Apple just did for the iPhone 5? Lol

Uh, NO. It is not. Battery capacity is not the same as Battery LIFE.

If they actually increased the battery capacity, along with the other newly introduced power saving aspects like the new processor, then instead of 8 hours, we'd be getting 10 or 12 or more.

In order to increase battery capacity, going thinner is definitely not going to help. If they maintained iPhone 4S thickness, then they could have indeed, increased battery capacity due to the longer dimensions inside.

I vote for thinner. I think the battery is better than the 4S which people were fine with, so how long do people really expect them to be able to make it last for? Plus, I can deal with charging it at work or in the car.

Before seeing/owning the 5 I would definitely have said battery, but the fact that the battery life is even better than the 4S in a thinner & lighter form factor the 5 is perfection actually.

People like me who use their phone a lot during the day, (I screw around with it a little of course, but I use it for work quite a bit), likely weren't happy with the 4S' battery. I could rarely get through a day with it. I got about 5 hours.

So the 7-8 I get from the 5 is much better, but, get me to 10-12 and I would know I could use it heavily on a given day and not worry.

7-8 is adequate, but I'd gladly give up a slight bit of thinness for more than adequate. :)

Thin is cool, but a 12 hour battery is even cooler, to me. :)

The 5 is SO extremely thin that I would trade some more girth for better battery in a heartbeat. Why does it need to be THIS thin? Anybody that would prefer extreme thinness to a ground breaking battery belongs in samsungs next gs3 commercial making fun of fanboys.

I take Wallace Simpson's view (you can never be too rich or too thin). Unfortunately battery technology moves slower than semiconductor technology. However, I think that we'll see even thinner designs in the future as screens and chipsets are designed to be less power hungry. I don't foresee the iPhone getting the "RAZR Maxx" treatment (an oxymoron if there ever was one).

Same thickness as the iPhone 4s and install a slightly bigger battery for extended use....:D

I'd have to say battery... if I didn't have a charger for my car. Having that, I don't see what the battery life matters, plug it up and let it charge if it's that big a deal. That's what I don't understand about battery complaints, maybe I'm missing something, if you got a charger then what's so terrible about just plugging it in?

USB on your computer at work... plug it in and let it charge. Wall adapter for USB, plug it in and let it charge. Car charger... plug it in and let it charge. If I were out walking in the woods or lost where there was no place to plug a charger in, then I could see the life of the battery being an issue. But, if that were the case I don't think I'd be walking around surfing Google or just carelessly using the phone's available charge...

Just my 2 cents...
