I haven't had any issues with the last or this beta. Nothing to report -- seems stable. I have tried out the new screensaver/wallpapers, widgets, etc. And you can click on the wallpaper to see your desktop. Otherwise, not too much to report -- which is not a bad thing :)
Looking forward to the fall official release, Might be decent release out the starting gate.

I wonder if Apple is using A.I. to check and resolve OS coding issues....

is there a way to test only Safari beta with profiles without whole OS update?

Apple today provided the third beta of the upcoming macOS Sonoma update to its public beta testing group, allowing non-developers to test the new operating system ahead of its fall launch. The new beta comes two weeks after Apple released the second beta.

Public beta testers can download the macOS 14 Sonoma update from the Software Update section of the System Preferences app after signing up on Apple's beta testing website and opting into the public beta under the Beta Updates section.

macOS Sonoma introduces interactive widgets for the desktop, making widgets more useful and more prominent. You can even use your iPhone widgets on your Mac's desktop through a new Continuity feature.

There are updated screensavers that are similar to the high-resolution animated screensavers available on the Apple TV, and for video calls and presenting, there's a Presenter Overlay option that lets you move, walk, and talk in front of content you're sharing from your Mac.

Safari supports web apps so you can add your favorite websites to your Dock, plus there are new Profiles to separate your work browsing and personal browsing. iCloud Keychain supports sharing passwords with others, and private browsing windows are locked when they are not in use.

Enhanced AutoFill is available for PDFs so you can quickly fill in information like names, addresses, and emails, plus users can collaborate on PDFs and see real-time updates through the Notes app.

My Mac automatically starts up again after it is shut down...

went to iOS 17 on first PB, just went to the watchOS 10 starting with PB 3, considering going to Sonoma as well now. Just hesitant as I use my computer everyday for work. Anybody see any issues on MBP 16" M1 Pro, or with MS Remote Desktop app? That is the big one for me, since I remote in for my 9-5.

Whereas I'd never suggest using Beta software on a work machine, I can tell you that Sonoma PB3 is as steady and stable as they (macOS betas) come. I put it on both my main Macs, '19 Mac Pro and '22 Mac Studio, and have no problems, and I have what they usually call complex machines with lots of TB/USB peripherals and lots of software installed.

Thank you for your thoughts on this. It isn't a "work" machine per se, it is my own personal device, but I have the luxury to WFH most of the week, so I remote into my work PC at the office with my MMP when I do. Everything work related is processed on the office machine though. I just might give this a try.

Just hope it fixes the random menubar zoom glitch when switching from dgpu to igpu on the mbp 2019 15

Does anyone know what I should do to update to the Sonoma Public Beta 3 when I get the attached message "Failed to prepare the software update. Please try again."? I'm running it on an external SSD (which I've now done for Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma.)

My only step left is to erase the SSD, install Ventura, then upgrade to the Sonoma public beta.

Advice?

Anyone else having safari SSL errors? Had to download a different browser (yay homebrew)... Every domain is "The certificate for this domain is invalid."

I actually enjoy this beta. It feels* a bit snappier. However, at least one of my apps will not open but generates a crash report, "Luminar Neo." I sent the makers of the product a heads up and hopefully if there are other apps with similar issues someone might find a fix of sorts.

Yes. Interested in finding a solution as well. It neither opens via Apple Photos to edit nor as a standalone app. I'm tempted to uninstall and try reinstalling. But if it'll be in vain, I'd rather just be patient for an update.
Don’t reinstall! Tried it, Not working.
I’m back on my other Partition with Ventura until the next Beta… this week? Perhaps?

There’s going to be a Luminar update around wednesday… or a new Sonoma beta. Anyways, we’ll see
