APM case is fantastic, especially for home use. I don't want to zip and unzip the case all the time, like with Sony or Bose. I can't see any mistake here, as some "specialists" are claiming here. Different strokes for different folks...

I travel since forever with Pioneer headphones in my backpack. Naked, because the case it too bulky and steals space for other stuff. Never had a single scratch.

I very much appreciate Apple’s solution. It will become very popular and will be copied.
So much has been made about this case, yet I’ve never met or seen a person use their headphone case. They either drape their headphone around their neck or put it naked into their backpacks because like you said, it’s too bulky AND I would add, the act of putting the headphones in and out of the case is a PITA.

I use Apple’s case all the time. It’s so simple to use, light and adds no bulk. It’s the most thoughtful headphone case design I’ve ever seen/used.

Apparently many do. I don’t. I still prefer my old Sony XM 3 and Bose 700. I am just average music listener. I don’t need the world‘s greatest sound quality..as long as I can hear lyrics and beat of the music is good enough for me. I spend my money on something WAY more important like rent, food, gas and other living necessities.

lives without music may be boring but you will live on, lives without food or water lives don’t go on—my humble thought

What few people around here understood (because after all, it’s more fun to be outraged) is that this is exactly what Apple planned from the beginning. Third party accessories are a rich part of the gizmo world and they deliberately left room for great cases made by other companies. It’s a good thing to support one’s accessory community. This is as true for AirPods Max as it is for nearly every other portable product Apple makes.
Sure, they leave room for other companies by doing the bare minimum. But designing a case so bad as the AirPods max one? No excuse for that. If you want to claim apple deliberately made it that bad then they’re dumber than I thought. Although actually, they’re still making money from a product with such an odd design decision so perhaps they’re not the dumb ones.

There’s a bunch of communists around here who think companies exist to make goods for the people and that everyone has the right to have what they make, rather than maximise profit for the owners, ie the shareholders.
you might want to look at how you spelled "professional" in your bio

I mean, yeah. No matter how stupid a decision is, the only thing that matters is “Is there enough people that will buy it such that it ends up profitable”. We may never know as I doubt Apple will announce numbers, but it definitely won’t put them in the poorhouse.
