    hey guys,

can anyone recommend a third Party USB-C Charger for fast charging the new iPad Pros?
There should be some recommendations based on charging the old 12,9" iPP.

    Thank you all

I got one from Amazon and it did not work. Apparently, no third party cables will work for fast charging. Don’t waste your money and get the original from Apple the first time.

That is interesting news. I am hesitating to spend almost 90 bucks for a Charger.

Has anyone tried it with ios11 beta to see if it was just a software limit put in by Apple? No hardware reason to only fast charge on apples own chargers

The only time I would really benefit from "fast charging" is when I'm traveling. However when I'm traveling I don't want to have to bring multiple chargers (and cables) and if I just bring the one that I'm not saving any time if I have to charge my iPad, then my iPhone, then my watch...

I don't really care if my iPad takes 2 hours to fully charge vs. 4 hours when I'm sleeping 6 hours anyway...

So still waiting on a nice portable/dual charge solution myself.

Yes, 12W still charges super slow on iOS 11.

I'm still a little confused here. I read somewhere the MacBook USB-c charger works better for fast charging. Can it be used?

The 29W charger works best. The 61W and 87W chargers... will not work at maximum speeds. This still has to be confirmed with the new iPads, but this is unlikely to change as it is an issue with the cable that is limited to 2A and the 61W/87W chargers do not support at 14.5V output, only 9V and 20V (which obviously cannot be used), but will still be 50% faster than the 12W charger (18W instead)
