Only 37 comments so far! I used to remember when things are exciting on preorder next night this forum is loaded with conments. I guess this is a boring year for Apple then.:D
My guess will be lower than expected X sales.
Rogers forum relatively few comments.
First time I have see so little online interest.

Wrong, you can preorder but you won’t be able to pre-order as part of the iPhone upgrade program.

Where are you getting that info? I ask because I have an iPhone 7 TMo that is part of iUP. I have been approved to get the iPhone X tonight still with TMo, I had to choose it during the preapproval process. It went through and said I’m ready to put my order in. Just hope it works lime it’s supposed to. That info was true when I signed up originally last year, I had to go in store.

We still have 7 hours lol
You remember back then unless you’re new here. iPhone 4 has over a thousand comments. Even iPhone 6 generates hundreds of comments even days prior to pre-order. Obviously the iPhone X is not going to be as big as what Apple thinks. For 30+ only comments sounds like a cricket to me. At least iPhone 8 generated more excitements than this phone.

1. It wasnt impressive
2. They are finally, along with samsung, over pricing their phones.

This is one of many threads my friend. Each carrier has it's own thread in the iphone forum.

You’re fine. It’s only new iPhone iUP members that can’t purchase online from Apple.

Source: that’s how it was for the iPhone 8 launch.

I just confirmed with Apple, if you are a TMobile customer you WILL NOT be able to pre-order an iPhone X from them. They blamed the system that TMobile uses to transfer a phone, but this is a decision that Apple has made, it effectively stops all TMobile customers from pre-ordering an iPhone X.
Sounds like misinformation. No reason you can’t reserve a phone for in store pickup like every previous year.

Again, pretty sure that is misinformation as well. You just can’t preorder for DELIVERY, because it must be activated in store. There should be no reason you can’t preorder for in store pickup.

I know... brutal!! I have had my iPhone 7 for 13 months and was hoping I could stick with JOD program and upgrade for a much lower price.. by far the most expensive carrier out there. Sucks! :(

Why do they charge that much? With Verizon I just have to pay taxes and return the wife’s phone

it seems this is gonna be the way they are gonna do it going forward. I crunched the numbers and cause their monthly is so small (compared to iUP for example) it works out to be roughly the same after 12 months but the HUGE upfront cost sucks

I think i'm just gonna bite the bullet and cancel my current JOD (only 5 payments left) and join iUP

The $0 down for the 64 GB T-Mobile option is completely false! Even with the Jump! On Demand you still have to put down $279.99. They need to know the facts before posting false information like that!

Woke up at 2:55am ET to go to the bathroom, fired up the T-Mobile app at 3:01am ET and encountered nothing but errors. I kept trying until 3:13am ET until I finally gave up and went back to bed.

Woke up at 6am ET this morning and got my pre-order in through their web site before I left for work. So let the waiting officially begin.

Just wait, in 2 - 3 days, if it turns out that Apple has a ton more supply than rumored, people will be bitching because Apple mislead everyone about inventory. o_O

Just wait, in 11 or so months, all the same people will have forgotten about this scarcity scam and fall prey to it again... for the 10th time. Basically, many of us know the game but play anyway. It's like watching the same movie over and over again but expecting a different outcome each time. We watch, we are seduced into somewhat believing, some of us drag ourselves out of bed at the worst time of our sleep cycle, our orders are typically fulfilled, we gush "I got one" like we won some precious contest, and then we forget THIS movie and it's almost entirely new to us next year.

Apple only has to push the same play button each year, where the definition of "play" is different for them. If it ain't broke???

Haha... something has to keep our dopamine pumping :)

crickets yes because iphone x is not a mass market phone. $1k plus tax for base model isn't for the masses. heck when you get to around $500, people start thinking twice. at least from my experience with common folks which is the masses. for this reason, only those with money to burn or that kind of disposable income on a cellphone are excited.
