Why on earth would anyone buy an Apple device from a third-party instead of Apple?
What benefit does buying from Apple provide? If I buy from Verizon I don’t have to purchase Apple care, if I buy from Best Buy I get reward points. So again I ask, what value does purchasing directly from Apple provide?

If we preorder from our carrier, or Best Buy for a carrier will be be able to do installments? I’m ready either way for a SB with sport band but installments would be nice :)

That was the case last year. So I assume it will be this year. Lots of people with promised release day delivery from BB only to get their watches much, much later though. Can’t speak for ATT.

Maybe not this year due to apparently better supply, but in the past Apple had the best in stock supply while other vendors had no or very limited stock.

Has anyone ever pre-ordered the watch from B&H? Attractive from the tax perspective but is it still likely to arrive on launch day?

Hey MacRumors,

Will you update this article at 12:02 once all of the deals go live? That way we can come here to see the best deal. Also, it would be awesome to group by carrier as opposed to by store. Sometimes deals are different. I'm guessing more people stay than change carriers.

If anyone sees a carrier or retailer I've left out that's offering pre-orders tonight, let me know and I'll add it to this list.
Sprint is doing trade in of iPhone 7 or better as a 100% off the monthly price of the XS only for new customers.

For 6S, it’s 50% of the monthly price.

I got confirmation from the telesales dept after a DM conversation on Twitter that included this.

Neither do I, have you found any info about it elsewhere?

Nope. gave up. odd that MR is the only place mentioning this deal. GF and I are ready to upgrade, me an XS and her an XR. would be cool to get some money off.

Make sure you closely read through B&H's return policy before ordering from them. They do not accept returns on any Apple device that the box has been opened.

Thanks for the heads up. Luckily I have protection from my CC but even then I don't anticipate returning it

Apple’s trade in value for the X is $15 higher than Best Buy and Apple will sell me a SIM free phone.

Purchased a Series 4 LTE model through AT&T. Does anyone know if the Watch comes pre-prepared to activate the new line through that carrier or will setup be no different than buying from Apple? I paid full price and did not do installments if that matters.

I'll clarify, thanks.

Just called B&H photo for my Apple Watch Series 4 “preorder”.

Just as reference, I only preordered with B&H because a senior editor by the name of Juli Clover added B&H to a list that you would assume she did her due diligence before posting it to the world. I received my confirmation email from B&H at 3:03am EST.

The B&H representative said that the update is that the watches will be in their inventory the first week of October. Questioning why B&H even held a pre-order, all he could say was that he doesn’t know why and he doesn’t know how new product sales are managed.

Juli, if you’re reading this, it’s too late. Do not ever add B&H Photo to your pre-order list for the hundreds of thousands of MacRumor followers to view. You have lost credibility to me, which probably doesn’t mean anything to you.
