I feel like selling mine but not because of the quality. It's beautiful and everything looks beautiful on it. I just think it's best for someone who doesn't move much. It's not good for the gym, not good in the car, not good while walking (if you want to change a song...no matter how many playlists i make, i want to hear something else). I just find it not as easy to work with on the move as the Nano. I use my 1g Nano more often. I use the Touch at work at my desk. If i had a long train ride everyday, i'd love it more. I'll sell mine when they make a 16g Nano.

Safari does work great on it. It really is like a little computer.

I'm not sure whether you get a remote button on your headphones like on iphone? (no really I've never seen a touch) If so just double click it. If not call me a silly.

However I don't think I'd go to a gym with such a nice ipod in my pocket for fear of damaging it! I must admit though those clippy nanos do look sexy nice.

p.s. I love my iphone / imac / ipod

p.p.s. never did like mighty mouse. ho-hum

I've had the iPod Touch since the first day it way shipped in Australia. I've never had any problems with it.

I've dropped it a few times and it had not one skipped heartbeat. I've kept it in my bag which has had keys, scissors and other random sharp things, and not one scratch on the screen (the back is another matter, but who looks at that?).

I think i my have one dead pixel, but that thing is so minute and irecognizable that i dont care that much. You really need to have a dark screen and have it at a perfect angle to see it. Normally i am very anal, but in this case i dont seem to care.

I did my jailbreak in 2 minutes and have had no problems ever since.

Yes, i think if you look at these forums you only see the bad things. But thats how humans are, we look at the bad. I think it is time to start a 'i love the ipod touch thread'...

I love my ipod touch, but I am thinking of selling it and getting an iPhone from the states (to save money lol) and try and unlock it to a UK network

If you based your opinion of Apple quality by anything on MacRumors, you would think that everything Apple makes is complete garbage.

People like to complain here...ALOT.

A LOT is two words, kinda like A LITTLE is also two. sorry, that just annoys me.

Now about iPod Touch:
As long as you don't get anything less than a week 42 you're OK. Mine is perfect jailbroken and all.

The thing is it's impossible to predict good or bad screen by looking at serial number. Just look for topics regarding screen issues, you can find there ppl complaining on practically every production week from 37 to 45....

Yeah, my week 39's screen sucks! But its hardly noticeable so I couldn't care less, I dont regret buying my iPod Touch one bit.

don't you think it's a bit illogical?
First you say "screen sucks", then you say "i don't regret buying it"...
The screen is the most important thing of this device so how can you be happy with it when it's quality sucks?

I love my week 42 iPod Touch, not modded in anyway... does everything I need/brought it for!

Also love my new 20 inch iMac purchased 2 weeks ago!

I totally, utterly, blame YOU PEOPLE for my iPod Touch purchase.

I was happily living in ignorant bliss, and then I stumbled onto the iPod Touch hacking threads. Jailbreak? Put Google Maps and Mail on it? 3rd party apps? NES emulator? Oooooookaaaaaaayy, MAYBE this thing deserves a look.

Then I went to Best Buy and played with one in person. Now I'm $300 poorer.

This thing is a work of art. I was showing a friend last night, and he was just in awe over how elegant it looks. Granted, I've jailbroken mine and have 2 screens full of apps, but this is one nifty gadget.

My only regret is not thinking to first spend that $300 (and then some) on a couple of Wii's to throw on eBay, which at this time of year would surely net me enough money to buy a Touch AND another Wii for myself. :p

The one thing I do struggle with is where to put it. I don't always wear a shirt with a breast pocket. I'm afraid to keep this thing in my pants pocket where it will get crushed with my keys or wallet. Where do you guys keep yours??
