Anyway to set a way where only a certain app keeps my iPhone screen on constantly ? Without going to sleep. Of course when using said app I will be keeping my phone plugged in to a outlet or a portable battery pack!

Guessing not possible and I will have to manually set screen timeout time to never every time when using said app :(

Why do you need such a function/app? Afk games?

no such control tied to power plan available. You either permanently turn your screen on no matter what or change it to a set timer. No other options, at least not in a per-app basis. Also there's no sign of such feature available on iOS 16 either.

It's completely possible to have that feature since it just takes a software tweak on Apple's part, but that is a very niche request so I don't know if they will add it.

You can request that feature on their feedback page if you really want it.

Some apps keep the screen on constantly. GaiaGPS, for example, which has an option to "Keep Screen On." So it is technically possible to override the OS screen timeout, but I realize this does not help you.

I think your point is helpful - the same happens using Apple Maps as satnav.

But the answer would appear to be in the hands of the developer rather than the user. Next step, contact developer?

as an android user looking to jump to iphone i just want to confirm does iphone allow you to keep your screen on for as long as you want? my phone has a setting that only allows a max of 10 minutes before having to manually click the screen to wake it

I have the following options (technically for Auto-Lock, but I think it is effectively screen on time):
30 seconds. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 minutes. Or Never.

I wouldn't advice it. However, there is a way. Set "Sleep" to NEVER.
