Dont get me wrong and think I'm trying to say that you all are full of it, but those that claim "better reception" with the iP4, I just cant understand it.
I'm sorry your service sucks! I have the 4 and am quite impressed with the reception on the phone. I get service where others do not and where my 2G and 3Gs did not.

Having said that, AT&T network sucks. My wife has a Pantek phone and drops calls everyday too. I hate when I drop calls, it's damn embarrassing and costs me time and money.

If you are having more drops than previous iPhones or other makes I'd take the phone back to Apple for a replacement. If that doesn't resolve the issue and if your service is mission critical, you might need a more reliable phone and network. Sorry.

this is really the first forum I have participated in. I guess it was that I never felt strongly about something enough to voice my opinion about it. The funny thing is, this thread reminds me of what others say about my taste for Apple products, that I think to much about it. I suppose it is slight envy that I don't yet have my iPhone so I can't pinpoint the good and the bad about how it works. January will tell which carrier (if I have a choice ) I go to but that will be the month!

This is just an attempt to resurrect the old argument: "My iP4 sucks, Apple sucks, AT&T sucks! Who's with me? - "No, iP4 is the best phone ever, Apple rocks!" Same old, pointless argument.

You don't like the phone? Why are you keeping it then? Return it if it doesn't work for you and get another smartphone, and move on with your life. Problem solved.

Right after I bought my iPhone 4 (end of July), I had nearly identical issues to the OP. I could leave the phone on my desk and talk on speaker (therefore no physical contact with the phone at all) and still drop a call. It was ridiculous. Finally, I called AT&T and learned that of the two towers within range of my apartment, one was down for repairs. After a miserable two weeks, the tower was repaired and I haven't had a problem since.

My longwinded way of saying to the OP: It may be a tower (and therefore temporary) problem. Call AT&T and see what they say.

christ almighty, this is how you treat other apple users? glad android community is nicer than this.

ill give you cliffs note version of this thread

OP: my iP4 keeps dropping calls, what to do?

This type of thread is great for bringing out the forum trolls who will bring nothing but his biased opinions. Emphasis on the word opinions.
