I'm still a fan of getting CD's. Either used or new I'm just liking the fact that I have the original hard copy and if anything happens I'm good to go. :D

I think sense the start up of selling songs on iTunes I have only bought two albums.

No one mentioned isohnut or Demonoid? :D

 :D

Used cds are the way to go. Buy them on eBay for a fraction of the price, own the physical media, rip them at your preferred bit rate, re-sell them on eBay if you want. Everyone wins. It's just a little more work.

I also borrow from my local library. Discovered a lot of gems that way.

I feel like the library is the way to go, I will ask them their policies on ripping and eBay sounds good but to many scams. i am afraid if i resell i will get scammed

I think a lot of people are getting CDs from the library and ripping them. I live in Edmonton, and there's like 70 people in front of me for famous CD holds like Eminem's new album! In Canada, it doesn't specify if you have to own the CD when you rip so it's legal. :)

Not that it is going to stop, but that is still illegal. But then again so is speeding and well you see that everywhere! :D

Comparing driving a car over the speed limit and going to a library to borrow and rip music cds is laughable. I totally understand your point, of course -- they're both illegal and everyone does it.
