It's a good idea (especially for watch enthusiasts). It's too bad that the overlay screen looks like crap and the underlying mechanical watch isn't much better. Once the screen tech catches up I can see traditional watch makers doing something like this (actually, I can see them doing this before the screen tech is ready and ending up with a gimmick watch).
