This is actually very easy:
- Have two dishwashers.
- Use clean dishes directly out of one dishwasher, and put them in the other.
- When the other washer is full, run it, and use dishes from there.
- Dishes never need to be put away, they are always in one washer or the other.

Freakin' genius!

Holy crap this is great. Too bad it’s for The wrong robot vac

Besides it would be better if you could pick up dog poop, Instead of avoiding it

We just picked up a top of the line Roborock during the holiday sales, and it's pretty impressive. A lot of the functionality mentioned here is already in it. The arm is a bit of a gimmick I think, but people will buy it. Robot vacuums are actually nice to have, especially if you have kids or pets, they don't get everything but they keep things relatively clean until you have time for a more thorough cleaning. The Roborock doesn't get stuck nearly as much, its avoidance is good...our older ones kept getting stuck on things my daughter and wife left on the ground. My daughter is 2, so she has a good excuse...I'm still trying to train my wife to pick up after herself. :D

Always interesting to see all these new devices at CES. But definitely expecting this to be super expensive. Waiting to see how successfully it does the work after it launches later this year.

The day I need something to pick up my own house at a totally ridiculous price is the time to pass.
We are doomed on this path as a society.

All of the latest Roborock vac / mops have the ability to AVOID pet messes. Unless it has been on the floor long enough to be dry, I don't think you'd want the robot to try to pick it up :(

They claim they do, but I don't trust it. The Qrevo Roborocks obstacle avoidance is still terrible, and they will eat anything that fits underneath them

Goodness, if I was richer I'd get one for each of my kids rooms and our hallway. I've told my kids time and time again, but they say they 'forget' or 'didn't think about it'.

So I promised each of them on the day they move into their new home, I'm going to come over, leave breadcrumbs on the counter, pee on the toilet seat, put my dirty socks on the stairs, and somehow miss the kitchen bin with my food scraps. Gonna be an epic first time home visit for this dad!

The only way that I'd spend more than $500 on a vacuum is if it was super quiet. Can't they figure out how to have strong suction with muffled sound?

Their current lineup is QUITE stealthy, with powerful suction and very little noise. I have one that runs in the back of the house during the day, and in the front of the house at night and I can just BARELY hear it running at night (usually when it goes down to a lower level like in front of the fireplace and back out). One-story, 2,000sf house.

Mine has never "eaten" anything - it goes gently around my shoes (for example) in the floor and automatically identifies electric cords and either avoids them or suggests I set a no-go zone for a congested area.

Yawn...Wake me up when these vacuums can climb stairs.
There was a robot vacuum on kickstarter promising this feature - Migo ascender. Unfortunately they ended up finally cancelling the project recently and refunding backers.

And the arm makes it less likely to get stuck under the bed?! My limited experience with these devices is that they are okay if your cleaning standards are low and your appliance vigilance is high. And in exchange, you get to share your home floorpan with a corporation! But few go broke betting on American laziness.
