This multifunctional stand is so convenient! Has anyone seen this before?

Excellent looking stand. Did I read correctly that the only USB 3 ports are in the front of the stand? And the ones underneath are USB 2?

Also, are USB 3 hubs backwards compatible with USB 2? I.e. Could I use this stand/hub with my late 2009 iMac(USB2 only)?

1. Yes, 3 USB3.0 ports in the front of the stand, and 2 USB2.0 underneath.

2. USB3.0 is backward compatible with USB2.0

3. USB port is never too much, HAHA

I like all of the stands people have posted here, I do agree however that it would raise it up quite a bit more than I'd like, if I had one I'd probably place the base of the Mac under the unit and use the forward ports.

Unfortunately, my iMac already sits too high for me with it's stock stand (bifocals - constantly had to tip my head up - a literal pain in the neck) - I bought the VESA adapter and an Ergotron stand so I could lower it. It is a nice looking stand though - but kinda pricey at $110

My neck hurt also, I had to put a cushion on my chair hah!

I ordered one of these also. I looks to be perfect for the wife's new IMAC. She is always using thumb drives and SD cards.

I use this.

It arrived in 3 days standard shipping. It is as expected. Very well made with no flaws and I would buy again. It is great have the card reader and USB 3.0built into the front. Well worth my money.

Here's another monitor stand that may interest you guys. It only has USB 2 hub, but it also costs less than the Monitor Mate.

pretty neat but a little to expensive for a hub which is basically what it is. I like the looks but not for 100+ dollars.

Indeed, too expensive for just a hub, around 60-70 would be perfect.

i m gonna wait and see if it drops or better competition shows up.
