bla bla bla , then go and ask the moderators to delete news about the google's new browser.

I just wanted to share a cool gadget which is similar to iphone.

That thing looks huge.

And editing an Excel sheet, from the video, looks like utter madness. I couldn't imagine doing any real work like that. Maybe editing a single value a most.

It looks nice ... but we need a new OS in the game. Can't wait to see a Samsung phone running android.

Windows Mobile is nothing new to us, just on a different phone. Hence windows mobile 6.1. (6 Versions :D)

You will be able to install Google's new browser...wait for it...yes, on a Mac.

Is it just me...or does this phone look gigantamous?

Looks like it's sitting in a males hand...and still looks huge!
wtf?

Looks like it's going to be an open source (android) phone like the htc dream.

It looks great, but no matter what, it is still a Windows Mobile...even MS employees don't have much faith on WM. I sold 2 3G's to MS employees who can't upgrade on their corporate plans.

Ps. I am all for a better phone experience!

Actually, it's about the same size as the iPhone. It just looks huge on the video. Plus it's not a new OS, it's Windows Mobile which has been around a whole lot longer than the iPhone. As far as using Excel and Word, welcome to the real world where the user decides what he wants to do with his device rather than Big Brother (oops, I mean Apple).

Its a good phone hardware wise but like HTC devices and others out there its crippled by Winblows Mobile 6.1

Symbian is a little better but its also old and clunky. No matter how much you polish a turd...it's still...and always will be a turd. Cellphone manufacturers should either start writing their own smartphone OS from the ground up or embrace Linux.

The two best smartphone OSes out their today are BlackBerry's Java and of course iPhone's mobile OS X IMHO

PS: Of all the talk about editing office document capabilities being missing from the iPhone, its a feature which most people dont/wont use. In the real world most people just view attachments and email/voice subsequent comments. Very few actually edit stuff on their devices.

It has potential but the GUI has a lot to be desired. Take my 8525 it was slow as death until i added a gig micro SD for it to use as RAM. You would think being a phone it would have everything it needs to just work.

I aggree. I think Symbian is good at the beginning when u buy the phone new but then it gets slower and slower ( at least my 2 experiences were like that )

Why on earth would you want widgets on a phone? Why would you want an ugly, messy, unorganized mess of a desktop... on your phone? Fail. Otherwise it's a nice looking phone - a bit big though...

easy access information?

It looks nice!
Too bad it runs on Windows Mobile...
That basically means that everything we saw in that demo takes about 5 times longer than it appears.

It'd be cool if it ran Android =)

I'm sure with some hacking skills you can run android on it. Also this looks like a killer device, i would of probably bought it instead of my 3G iPhone if it were cheaper and came earlier.

Actually, I remember a video at the IFA with a samsung rep trying to demo the i900, and it actually freezing up. Not surprised though.
