I would have bought a whitebook in 2007 when i considered switching to Mac, but i got an Aluminium Macbook in 2008 instead, but if i had bought a whitebook, i would have switched to get the newer one for sure! I am the type of person who likes to have new things :D

Honestly, I bought this because I lost a bet.

I was in dire need of a new notebook after my lovely F572 died in a horrible accident, and my friend and I place silly bets on everything, but we run out of things to bet on. Lo and behold, we used the current situation.

A few days later, I have an Aluminum MacBook, 2.4 GHz =\

Not worth the money, in my opinion, but it's pretty? I love it, but I don't see the huge hype over it, I kind of regret actually sticking to the bet because the new XPS line just came out D<

I like new things too. That's why I have to stay away from the Apple Store.

Believe it or not. I think the blackbook looks kinda cool. Especially since they don't sell it anymore.

My old macbook was outdated... bought it in Aug 2007 and sold it Dec 2008. Bought the Macbook Unibody at the end of Dec 08.

I try and keep my technology (TV's, receivers...etc) and computers as updated as possible. You can spend $1200 every 4 years on a new computer and recycle or donate your old system....or spend $300ish every year or so to have the latest version and not have to worry about the depreciation. Just my two cents. It's like folks that buy a new car every two or three years.... whatever works for you!

I think the white/blackbooks are very cool looking. You glance at it and you know right away it's probably a Mac. My wife loves hers.

I bought a white MacBook in mid-2008, and did want to upgrade to an aluminum MBP for gaming, but it was much cheaper to get an 360 anyway.

Because *sighs* my old whitebook got stolen. Otherwise I could care less about the new alu book; might go the store to have a look at it, give it a bit of tlc but at the end of the day I'd happily go back to my whitebook.
