Would you buy the Midnight color again?

Genuinely curious, why would you? If you cannot see the keys (and need to) you can just turn the backlight on.

I think coming from always using a silver Mac it’s kind of different to get used to. Not sure if anyone else feels this.

Always had Silver since 2013, then Space Grey.
Love the color, no regret :)

I am using M4 Midnight Macbook Air 15 inch from last March. I found no fingerprints problem at all. There are simply no fingerprints on my m4 though I use it every day. I use it without case and don't wipe the surface at all. Apple seems to address that issue in M4 series.

I traded in my midnight m2 Air for a M4 Sky Blue air and I’m happy with it. But at the end of the day, all I really care about is about it getting my work done, not the color. So I would go back to Midnight if I had to. But for now, Sky Blue is fine by me.

Great perspective. At the end of the day, it’s just a tool.

Revisiting this thread again after several years. I still love my 13 month inch midnight blue M2 MBA. Sadly, when I got a 16 inch M4 MBP six months ago, midnight blue wasn’t a choice. So I went with the closest choice—midnight black. Most of the time, I don’t notice the suboptimal color, but occasionally I think, “I wish midnight blue had been an option.” Sigh.

Just ordered a MacBook Air in Midnight... hopefully Apple has improved the fingerprint situation. I tend to have oily fingers. Here's hoping I don't regret my decision and return it.

I saw the thread where Apple has improved the fingerprint issue with the M2 MBA. Have they made any further improvements for the M4 lineup?

The design hasn't changed, but there have been upgrades, aside from obviously M3 and M4 being more powerful than M2. The webcam is better, WiFi is faster, Thunderbolt speed is faster, and it now supports two external displays. The fingerprint resistance is much better on the M3 and M4, compared to M2.

I have the M2 in midnight.
Zero issue with fingerprint as I installed a colour matched skin to the top bottom and around keyboard, non glossy and impossible to tell even sitting next to my friends unskinned one.
I loved the colour initially but have grown tired of it.
Next one will be silver which is timeless and also "looks" lighter, dark colour portray a heavier "look" imho.
Now have a silver iPad and white iPhone for the same reasons

I was speaking solely about the fingerprints. Mine gets fingerprints, but not as easy as I thought it would. They wipe off pretty easily.
