I hate screen protectors. They make your beautiful iPhone screen a bit grainy.

Have never used one since the 3G in 2008 and have never had a scratch. Ever. I will never use a screen protector on my iPhone. I do however recommend a good case.

Never used one. Have owned iPhones and iPads since they first shipped. Never any scratches.

Never used a screen protector and my screen still looks perfect. I just could not give up the feel of my naked screen. That said..I am somewhat careful not to put it in a pocket with keys or such things. I really don't baby it, though. That glass is a winner!

X2. Love the naked glass, so I'm always careful to put it in my pants pocket with the screen side facing my leg. I clean it by rubbing it on my shirt which does a decent job.

I have those very tiny ones that you can't see with the screen on. They bothered me when I first got them but I couldn't care less now. Most of them I got when the phone was new. Screen protectors suck.

Define your definition of a scratch because it seems like everyone here is confused. If you are talking about hairline scratches in the glass coating then everyone here has at least one. You can't just not have any unless you never touch your device because the coating can scratch just from lint rubbing on it.

Now if you mean actual hardcore scratches that go into the glass then my front is free of them. Now the back has three nasty scratches that I have no clue as to how they got there.

Totally false. I've have mine since launch day and I've NEVER had any screen protection at all. That being said, my screen is PERFECT. Not even fine hairline scratches... I carry mine every day in a hot rough environment and my screen is as perfect as the day I opened the box.

Good, some swirl marks. But I got to enjoy my screen which is good.

I never use screen protectors (not for a long time anyway). Screen protectors suck.

I wouldn't worry about the screen getting scratched. I worry more about the oleophobic coating getting worn off.

Mine looked like **** 2 weeks ago when i sold it.
But i don't baby my phone, i dropped it many times, sometimes i put my keys in the same pocket.

No screen protectors..had bumper on it but sides got scratched underneath.. gone naked, and now looks like crap! Definitely going to invest in a good case for next one. I'm not very nice to my phone.. :(

I guess another factor is if you use a case or not. I don't use a case but I do use a screen protector. With a case you have more protection for the screen. But since I don't use a case it helps having the protector since the screen is always touching a surface. I don't have to worry about being careful with my phone, and I've always dropped the phone before. I wouldn't say I'm clumsy but I do have a hard time holding onto a caseless iphone 4 sometimes.

Currently, I'm using the power support crystal clear protector, and have since the first iphone. They do not degrade the screen and the feel of it is something I prefer. Its not like some other protectors which can feel like an orange peel.

Also, the benefit of being able to remove the protectors and sell the iphone as perfect is awesome. I've spent very little on iphones but have had every single one. If you keep the screens perfect, unlock and jailbreak them, you can get a huge return on your initial investment.

But when it comes down to it, it's all about what feels good for you.

Better then my iPhone 3G, then again that dropped 4ft and lived with 1 scratch

No scratches on the front on mine. I've used screen protectors too on my iPhones occasionally, mostly because I like my screens to be antiglare. Got a antiglare MacBook pro. For bigger screens I prefer the ag. That's why my iPad has one as well. My iPhone has been naked for the majority of it's since I got it on launch day. No scratches on the front but a few on the back. I could go either way on the iPhone I guess. Maybe I've been lucky with the 4 without scratches on the screen. But I've had scratches on the 3G and the 3GS when I didn't have screen protectors.

I have OCD so as you can imagine, mine is launch day perfect in every way.

I wont use a shell or a screen protector because my OCD prevents me from spoiling the look of the phone.

Have never put it down on a hard surface EVER. Here are the results:

Nevermind scratches mines got bloody patch of dust under it in the middle of left side

Ive had mine since verizon launch with no screen protector on it. It still looks as good as the day I bought it. I do have a case protecting the back of the phone.

Let's be honest here: if you haven't used a screen protector for an extended period of time (totalling more than 6 months), did you develop ANY scratches on your screen?

I've always had a screen protector on my iP4, but have recently got the urge to dump it since I miss how the glass feels.

It's alright.. a lot of fingerprints but no scratches on the front... just the back :(

I wouldn't worry about the screen getting scratched. I worry more about the oleophobic coating getting worn off.

Man.. that looks awful

Have had the i4 since launch day, and no scratches at all on the front. On the back though, there are a few hairline scratches but barely barely visible.

Didn't have a screen protector on my iPhone 3G and that also had no scratches, until I dropped it on concrete, but that's a different story
