Those who ordered from AT&T (on or after 6/29)- did your phone ship?

I ordered 2 16gb on 6/29 at around noon on the premiere sit. They are still on back order!!! One weird thing is when i check my order status on the regular att site it says they were ordered July 3rd???? Any one else have this problem or know why this happened? Tried callin att. I waited for an hour and hung up....

I sort of have the same thing going on. I ordered at about 4:30AM on 6/29 from the premiere site; (2) 16 GB handsets for a new 2 line family plan. The order confirmation indicated that they would ship in 7 to 10 days.
A few days later, I started reading reports of people receiving their phones. Since most of them had indicated that they had ordered after me, I checked the premiere order status page; which simply indicated "Processing". The regular ATT site indicated that my order date was different (July 2nd); and that the equipment was backordered.
I spent 4 hours on hold yesterday with ATT (wasn't able to talk to anyone, eventually they disconnected the line I was holding on when they closed for the day), and another 2 hours today. Eventually, I got through to them however. As per the status of my order, they claimed that all is well, my order is "Active", and they are waiting for inventory. They then pointed out that when my order was placed, it was indicated that it would ship in 7 to 10 days.
While granted, this is true, it hasn't been 10 days yet, I inquired as to why orders placed after mine had already been shipped and received. I was unable to get a response.
The rep basically ignored the inquiry.I'll probably call again after the full 10 days is up. But at this point, I'm guessing that their whole order fulfillment process is just kind of random. Instead of going with first come, first served, they're probably just picking orders randomly out of the total order queue. When the 10 day mark hits for the 6/29 orders, we'll see if they truly start to clear out the queue in proper order. Being that this is AT&T, I'm not holding my breath.
My 16 gb just came off backorder. I ordered July 2nd. This was an order I made when Apple put my order on hold 7 times from June 15th. Finally my wife may get her iPhone. What a mess.

7/2 - Ordered 16GB in-store, DF, non-premier, home delivery
7/4 - Attempted to cancel 16GB in-store, ordered 32GB
7/4-7/8 - Both orders still showed in-progress and backordered.
7/8 - Spoke to a supervisor (after 3-4 other reps) who finally fixed my cancelation. Took him about 5 seconds to fix.
7/8 (midnight) - 32GB order came off BO
YAY!

Well I ordered through Apple originally on the 15th of June. Some how in all the chaos my order of mine and my wife's phones were given my phone number. So Apple sends me a letter and says to fix it through AT&T and my order has been put on hold. Well I called them back and forth for days and hours, and neither could help me. I finally gave up and ordered through AT&T on July 2nd. Mine has just came off back order. It hasn't shipped yet. I hope all of your orders ship soon. I have an iPhone 4, but my wife doesn't because of the commotion on the 15th of June.

Ordered my at my local ATT store on evening of 6/29 and exactly 7 days later (7/6) my 16gb iphone arrived at the store. Picked it up, sales guy set it up for me as I was doing an upgrade swap, and now I'm as happy as could be. ATT guy was very knowledgeable and eager to help. He could tell I was completely overtaken by joy and was very helpful.
Still no progress on my July 1 order. It's been sitting on back order ("In Progress" on the Premier site) since July 2.

You never know when. All of a sudden mine was off back order last night and shipped sometime between then and 8 EST. I was surprised after all the trouble I had trying to get one from Apple.
