No you wouldn't. Standard overnight service guarantees delivery the next business day, in this case being Tuesday the 6th for FedEx Express. If anyone on here has some knowledge about FedEx/Apple shipping, I have a question. If AT&T says that my phone ships today (6/5), does that mean it'll really ship tomorrow and I'll get it on Wednesday (today being a holiday and all), or would I be getting it tomorrow (Tuesday)? I have a tracking number, but the FedEx website says "not found".
I'm not sure of a definitive answer, but it seems like it depends on how it ships. FedEx Ground is closed today but open tomorrow 7/6, however, FedEx Home Delivery doesn't open again until Wednesday 7/7. It seems more likely that it would ship Home Delivery since it's to a residential area, meaning that it wouldn't ship until Wednesday and you'd get it Thursday (assuming overnight), but I don't know for certain. Both FedEx services are closed today and yet people are still getting emails saying their phones have been shipped. I know this isn't really an answer, but maybe it gives some insight!

ETA: Also, FedEx Express is open tomorrow 7/6 so it's possible it could ship tomorrow if it comes from them? I'm not sure which service it goes through, even though it's "priority overnight".

I PRE ordered with apple on the 19th. Ordered two phones, both were switched to prepared for shipment on the 2nd, now only one of them is prepared while the other has been changed back to not yet shipped. Meanwhile people who ordered 2 weeks after me are getting their phones in hand or already have tracking numbers. This really has me upset with apple.

Holy crap seriously?? You just gave me hope... Ordered my 32GB on 7/4 also but wasn't expecting movement for 7 days given other people's track record with 32's.
My 7/4 order is still showing backorder btw. Did yours come off backorder prior to switching to shipped, or did it all happen in one step? Or was yours never on backorder?

for those who tried to check their status on the att site and got the stupid error message
select work/home number and enter your cell number there.
i did that and was able to check the status.

Ordered 6/30...still backordered...maybe it will show up the same time as my orange bumper (July 30?????)
No shipping info yet, but about 1 hour after mine moved off bo, I was no longer able to view the order info online. Guessing this means an update is coming. Let me know if your order becomes inaccessible....

I've ordered both a 16 GB and 32 GB pretty late on 6/30 and they are still back-ordered.
(The two phones are in different orders so it will be interesting to see what happens...)
EDIT: I think I still have a bit of a wait, but I do think it's total bullcrap that AT&T isn't shipping as first-come first-serve.

I ordered from Premier. It didn't show anything related to back order status so I don't know. Didn't see that with the 16gb that I ordered a few days before and received as well. Fed Ex already has the info for the 32gb. Was picked up from Ft Worth and should be here tomorrow.
I wonder if it got sped up because I called Customer service right after I ordered the phone. They made a mistake with my bill and charged me two family plans for the 3rd line I added (16gb). I had them check if the 4th line (32gb) was on a seperate family plan as well and it was so they fixed it for me. Next thing I know, I get a tracking number...
