And isn't that really the biggest reasons why people choose any product. I think we make things way too complicated at times. You like/want the iPhone get that. You want android/winmo/symbian then get one of those.

And most importantly, what other people like to use doesn't really matter. :)
 
I like the solid feel of iOS compared to the "fiddly" Android experience. And I also prefer C/C++/Objective-C over Java.

For me, one of the biggest reasons not to get an iPhone is that if you have an Apple product, your immediately considered a snob by many people. I don't like that when I get out my iPhone, I have to explain to the people in my vicinity that I'm actually not a snob, when all I want to do is make a phone call...

Good design, ease of use and the flexibility of all the apps I could possibly want. I swapped the ability to change any setting that I wished for a good UI that is tightly integrated with my mac. I am not a techy so I probably wouldn't have fiddled with all the settings any way.

However, it is all down to personal choice. You pay, you choose. If someone else wants different things from me, good on them. Their choice does not negate my choice. We are all individuals.
